**We are looking for a Strategy Intern. This position will be based at one of our sites in New York, NY, Sacramento, CA, Lexington, NC, or Pittsburgh, PA.**

During your summer journey with us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the **North American Strategy Team** where you will learn how **contribute to high-impact projects, conduct market research, and develop compelling presentations for senior leadership, all while learning from experienced strategy professionals**

**A little bit about us**

**Siemens Mobility** provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people and goods by rail – including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rolling stock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail and streetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets. Cities and railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations and electricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology for freight and passenger rail and transit systems.

**How does Strategy play into the big picture?**

The Strategy Team provides our senior leaders with research, analysis, and recommendations related to long-term business planning and emerging market trends, and critical initiatives. The team collaborates with all the business units in our region and with colleagues throughout the global Siemens Mobility business. As a Strategy Intern, you will assist the Director of Strategy with various tasks, including:

**Market Research & Data Analysis:**

+ Support the collection and analysis of market data, competitor studies, and industry trends.

+ Assist in strategic benchmarking and due diligence efforts to identify key insights.

+ Help analyze strategic action fields to inform business decisions.

**Presentation Development:**

+ Contribute to the creation of impactful PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

+ Support the visualization of complex data and strategic narratives.

**Strategic Planning Support:**

+ Assist in the coordination and preparation of strategic planning documents and reports.

+ Support the team in monitoring the execution of business strategies and related plans.

**AI Strategy Support:**

· Contribute to the development of a regional AI strategy and assist with the implementation of AI-related initiatives within the region.

**Sustainability Coordination:**

· Participate in planning and implementation related to corporate sustainability initiatives such as decarbonization and landfill waste avoidance

**What your day-to-day will look like:**

· Exposure to high-level corporate strategy and decision-making processes.

· Practical experience in market research, data analysis, and strategic planning.

· Enhanced presentation and communication skills.

· Mentorship from experienced strategy professionals.

· A deeper understanding of the mobility industry and Siemens’ strategic priorities.

**Critical Capabilities** **:**

+ A strong interest in transit and passenger rail, corporate strategy, AI, and/or sustainability.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex information clearly.

+ Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.

+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

**Who Should Apply?**

+ Education / Majors: Current sophomore or junior undergraduates pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited college or university and majoring in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Data Science or a related field with strong technical or analytical aptitude

+ Availability: 40 hours per week from June to August

+ Work Authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization

+ Prior internship or co-op experience (preferred) with a preferred cumulative GPA of at least 3.0

+ Demonstrated leadership potential

+ Strong analytical, writing, presentation, and critical-thinking skills

**You’ll Benefit From**

The hourly pay range for this position is $23.00 – $28.00 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.

Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
