**ROLE SUMMARY**

This position will have interaction with all divisions within Global Tax, including but not limited to, Global Financial Tax Reporting, European Tax Center, Planning and Transfer Pricing, as well as interaction with Global Tax Leadership. This position will also include a major interaction with Global Financial Solutions and other groups, including Controller’s and Consolidations. Dependent upon the projects assigned, leaders within the Business Units and other Finance groups may be a customer.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ **US Tax Operations:**

+ Support the documentation and analysis of uncertain tax positions under ASC 740-10 (FIN 48), including support for quarterly and year-end reporting

+ Help maintain and update FIN 48/FIN45/Affirmative Adjustment workpapers, including reserve balances, interest computations, and position year templates

+ Support the preparation and reconciliation of Cadency entries, including roll-forwards and balance sheet schedules tied to FIN 48 reserves

+ Responsible for various aspects of US income tax accounting

+ Knowledge of US GAAP

+ Ability to identify and implement process improvements

+ Keep abreast of both internal and external events that will impact Global Tax and/or the company

+ Assist with department special projects, as necessary

+ Responsible for various aspects of federal tax compliance

+ Provide support for transaction costs analysis, including liaising with Pfizer teams such as Legal and Business Development

+ Support implementation of new footnote disclosure in accordance with ASU 2023-09

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Tax or related discipline required

+ 0-18 months’ income tax provision experience in a large corporation or Big 4 accounting firm

+ Ability to manage change

+ Ability to consistently deliver excellent results

+ Strong research skills including ability to interpret statutes, regulations and case law and apply them to company facts

+ Excellent written and verbal communication regarding both tax and non-tax issues

+ Ability to work independently

Work Location Assignment: Hybrid

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,500.00 to $110,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
