**Position Overview:**

Siemens Mobility is seeking A highly motivated and qualified Project Manager with a proven track record of contributing to sophisticated projects in the transportation industry with preferred experience in the rail industry. Experience with Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) and specifically the Solid-State Interlocking Systems for CBTC. This specific project with its setup is the first of its kind in North America! Join this long-term, innovative, and groundbreaking effort to lead and enhance the service and support efforts to support our customer and its Communications-Based Train Control system! This position will be hybrid based in New York City, NY.

**What your day-to-day will look like:**

+ Lead the efforts related to the Onboard ATC and Radio Systems.

+ Drive the project timeline for service mobilization, project landmarks, material delivery, and acceptance for the assigned systems.

+ Achieve the defined project scope, goals, and deliverables that support the business goals and requirements in collaboration with account sales executives, senior management, and partners.

+ Be part of meetings with clients to take detailed user requirements and clarify specific requirements for the project’s contracted scope(s).

+ Contribute to the overall project plan and associated communications documents. Work effectively with the allocated resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

+ Follow the given direction to implement our project process and management principles to all aspects of the project scope and deliverables.

+ Effectively communicate project expectations to all partners in a timely and transparent fashion. Contribute to deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

+ Monitor and contribute to meet the overall budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis. Use appropriate verification techniques to handle changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.

+ Contribute to the overall risk management to minimize project risks.

+ Work toward the set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other partners.

+ Identify and handle project dependencies and critical paths.

+ Define project success criteria for the assigned responsibility and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.

+ Work closely and collaborative with project team member and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

+ Contribute to the monthly project reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal and external partners.

+ Track and optimize the defined critical metrics from the service contract throughout the project (reliability, availability, safety, etc.).

+ Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the project’s success.

**To thrive in this role, you have:**

+ High School Diploma / GED.

+ 2+ years of experience in a Technical Project Management function or related role.

+ Minimum 2 years of experience in Communications-Based Train Control Maintenance, specifically within Solid-State Interlocking System for CBTC.

+ Knowledge of project management methodology and terminology.

+ Experience in contributing to significant level projects ($5M+ range).

+ Working knowledge of maintenance management and familiarity with the Signaling CBTC industry, equipment, technology, and regulatory obligations.

+ Willing to work primarily in our New York, NY office and meet frequently with the client at the client’s location.

+ Experience collaborating with customers and leading customer interactions.

+ Setting you apart from others would be a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of project related experience within the rail industry. PM Certification is desired.
