About the Role
We are looking for talented individuals to drive the next growth phase of our assay analysis and management software platform, Genedata Screener. Screener captures experimental data from all kinds of bioassays, automates analysis, validates results, and consolidates assay information across the enterprise to power project decisions and lay the foundation for AI-driven drug discovery and development.
Screener is the undisputed market leader for early lead discovery assay analytics. With more than half of the Top-50 pharma companies already customers, we are looking to further increase its adoption across their R&D, cover new drug modalities, and extend its benefits to more biopharma companies, to support broadly the discovery and development of innovative treatments. You will work in our successful, innovative, interdisciplinary and highly motivated business team to make this happen.
This position reports to the Business Account Manager and is part of the Screener Business Unit located in Lexington, MA and will be an on-site role. This full-time position will have responsibility for specific geographic areas and/or specific accounts in North America. This position requires 20% travel within North America on a regular basis and occasional international travel.
The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000 . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
Your Responsibilities
Our ideal candidate will:• Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and networking events. Connect with biopharmaceutical scientists, IT professionals and R&D Managers to understand their needs and raise awareness of Genedata Screener• Actively identify opportunities by uncovering critical assay analysis needs• Drive business and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closure: conduct outreach, qualify prospects, manage software demonstrations (with the professional services team), communicate proposals, build value, negotiate and close deals• Manage active accounts – build trusted relationships to become the preferred partner for your clients, understand customer situation and scientific, technical, and business needs, manage software renewals and retain customers, expand licenses, develop opportunities for paid projects• Interact with the professional services, product management, marketing and other teams to identify and build opportunities and sell software and services
Skills and Experience
We are looking for a qualified salesperson with a strong entrepreneurial spirit to be a key member of our Business Account Management Team. The successful candidate will have the following background:
• Passion for accelerating biopharma R&D through high-value enterprise software solutions.• BSc or MSc or PhD Degree in a Life Sciences discipline• Commercial mindset• At least 2 years experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in B2B related to the life science industry, preferably in software sales• Familiarity with drug discovery processes• Experience with scientific data analysis software• Willingness to take initiative, excellent planning, organization and time management skills• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluency in English • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
