Cepheid is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sr. Operations Coordinator to support the Program Management Office within a cutting-edge medical diagnostics portfolio. This pivotal role will be responsible for the development, sustainment, and evolution of key portfolio management tools and dashboards ensuring an accurate illustration of the portfolio’s progress towards the defined goals and objectives. The Sr. Operations Coordinator will coordinate with members across PMO to capture data and information required . In addition, the candidate will be involved in constructing material for executive reviews periodically with high vis ibility . This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging project management professional to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the strategic success of our projects.

This position is part of the Portfolio Management Office and will be located on-site in Sunnyvale, California . At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions .

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Coordinate and manage the operational logistics of the Program Management Organization (PMO) , including scheduling meetings, managing documentation repositories, and ensuring smooth information flow.

+ Support the PMO in developing and maintaining standardized project management processes and tools.

+ Assist in onboarding new project team members to PMO tools and methodologies.

+ Monitor and track key project metrics and performance indicators across the project portfolio.

+ Collect, analyze, and synthesize project data from various sources (e.g., project schedules, resource plans, risk registers) support on time delivery

+ Populate and maintain project dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and timely updates.

+ Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations as required by PMO leadership or project stakeholders.

+ Contribute to regular project review meetings by providing accurate data and clear project summaries.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration , p roject m anagement, i nformation s ystems, or a related field and prefer minimum 1-2 years of experience in a project management, project coordination, project support, or entry-level project management role, preferably within a PMO environment.

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

+ Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

+ Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.

+ Cross functional p rocess master, i nfluence without authority, business, commercial, and finance acumen.

+ Familiarity with regulatory requirements for medical devices and in vitro diagnostics (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 820, IVDR).

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

+ Ability to travel 5 % -10%

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Project/Program Management certification

+ Experience in molecular diagnostics, medical devices, or life sciences industries

+ Knowledge of the infectious diseases’ medical diagnostics domain  

+ Strong communication skills and ability to navigate within multiple functions

The hourly range for this role is $40 – $44 hourly . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
