As part of our growing Middle East engineering hub, we are looking for a Design Engineer to contribute to Medium Voltage (MV) design projects and support our regional and international customers with high-quality, standard-compliant solutions.
**Your Role – Technical, Collaborative, and Impactful!**
As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in preparing and developing secondary system designs for MV electrical substations. You will work closely with senior engineers, project teams, and factories to ensure accurate, standard-compliant designs that meet customer requirements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform MV design activities including Base and Detailed Design, Manufacturing Drawings, and As-Built documentation under the guidance of senior engineers.
+ Review technical documents, drawings, and specifications to determine customer requirements.
+ Prepare high-quality drawings and documentation such as:
+ Single Line Diagrams (SLD), General Arrangements, Protection & Control Schematics
+ AC/DC Load Calculations, Interlocking Logic, CT/VT and Relay Schedules
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet project needs.
+ Ensure compliance with IEC, ANSI, SEC, and National Grid standards in all deliverables.
+ Support design reviews and incorporate feedback from senior engineers and project stakeholders.
+ Contribute to internal design improvements and knowledge-sharing within the team.
**Your Qualifications and Skills – Technical and Growth-Oriented!**
+ B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from a reputable university.
+ 3–5 years of experience in MV design engineering with exposure to secondary systems, RMUs, and protection relays.
+ Solid knowledge of MV AIS & GIS Switchgear and familiarity with IEC and ANSI standards.
+ Experience with protection relays (e.g., Siemens, ABB, Schneider, SEL) and communication protocols (e.g., IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3).
+ Exposure to SEC and National Grid (NG) standards is an advantage.
+ Proficiency in CAD tools and engineering software relevant to electrical design.
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders.
+ Good analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
