The Account Manager for Leica Biosystems is responsible for generating revenue and gaining market share for the Leica Biosystems portfolio. In close collaboration with the application team, the account manager will develop the Northern part of the Netherlands to increase Leica Biosystems’ market share. The individual will be responsible for developing the sales strategy for the Leica Biosystems’ product portfolio in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager and the rest of the team.

This position is part of the North Europe team located in The Netherlands and is fully remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Actively prospect both within and outside Leica Biosystems customer base and follow up leads to consistently and continually increase pipeline volume and quality.

+ Achieve and exceed monthly and annual pipeline, orders and sales targets, strategic and unit sales mix objectives, profit goal and market share goals.

+ Actively manage existing Leica Biosystems Accounts in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction and maximize sales potential through repeated business.

+ Develop and maintain an accurate weekly forecast of sales projects substantiated by accurate documentation and planned follow up actions.

+ Identify all key stakeholders in sales projects and develop & execute strategies and tactics to successfully win business in a way that provides sustained value to both customer and LBS.

+ Collaborate with Leica Biosystems EU sales unit colleagues to identify and develop opportunities across the entire LBS portfolio products in order to deliver increased customer value

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Relevant and demonstrable sales/account management experience with a clinical and/or life science environment

+ Several years of sales experience in the health care environment: knowledge of technologies, products, processes and selling/purchasing with the hospital environment, competitor and market awareness.

+ In this competitive environment, key account management is of the essence to build and nurture relationships.

+ Proven record of successful selling and exceeding targets

+ Experience with Working in a complex and matrix environment

+ Dutch and English fluent

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Understanding the complex hospital DMU’s

+ Technical knowledge of product portfolio, advanced staining (IHC) & histology
