The General Manager (GM) – India will lead SCIEX’s commercial operations across India, encompassing Sales, Service Sales and Delivery, Marketing, and associated functions. This role is pivotal in driving growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction in alignment with SCIEX’s global strategy and the broader LSIG India platform. You’ll inherit a strong-performing business on a double-digit growth trajectory, with 2025 revenues projected to exceed USD XYZ million. Your mission: accelerate growth, build long-term scale, and champion a culture of performance, collaboration, and inclusion—hallmarks of leadership at Sciex and Danaher.

This position reports to the Vice President- Danaher LSIG Platform, India and is part of the Commercial team located in Bangalore/Mumbai and will be an on-site role.

Key Responsibilities

+ Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the India commercial strategy aligned with regional and global priorities. Drive market share growth across key verticals such as biopharma, CROs/CDMOs, and clinical diagnostics.

+ Commercial & Financial Management: Own full P&L accountability for the region, ensuring revenue, margin, and cost performance. Lead direct and channel sales teams to achieve targets, maintain accurate forecasting, and manage the sales funnel effectively.

+ Service Operations & Customer Success: Oversee service sales and delivery, including field operations, preventive maintenance, and customer support. Ensure high service quality, customer satisfaction, and growth in service-related revenue.

+ Marketing & Product Positioning: Drive integrated marketing campaigns, customer education, and product positioning. Collaborate with global marketing to localize strategies and support new product introductions.

+ Cross-functional Collaboration & Governance: Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and Operations for seamless execution of business plans. Ensure compliance with Danaher’s Code of Conduct, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.

+ Talent Development & Leadership Culture: Build and mentor a high-performing team. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement through DBS-led growth and disciplined execution.

+ Continuous Improvement & Growth: Embed the Danaher Business System (DBS) to drive operational excellence, problem-solving, and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

+ Experience: Minimum 20 years of progressive leadership in life sciences, diagnostics, or analytical instrumentation sectors. Proven ability to exceed regional sales and growth targets. Strong commercial acumen with a history of developing and executing innovative go-to-market strategies.

+ Business Leadership: Demonstrated success in managing P&L, leading commercial and service teams, and scaling operations within India.

+ Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Indian biopharma ecosystem and CRO/CDMO landscape.

+ Global Exposure: Experience working in matrixed, global organizations is a must.

+ Education: Advanced degree in science, engineering, or business; MBA preferred.

+ Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM systems, sales forecasting tools, and performance management platforms.

+ Analytical Ability: Exceptional decision-making skills with a data-driven approach to business leadership.

Travel Requirements:

· Ability to travel – +70% of the time
