**PositionOverview:**

Siemens Mobility is GROWING in Seattle! We are seeking a Field Service Technician to
support the commissioning and troubleshooting of our new diesel Aero
trainset. The Field Service Technician
provides engineering advice to the Amtrak maintenance workforce in order to
improve equipment reliability of the Siemens Amtrak Fleet. This includes advice on routine maintenance,
restoration and resolution to equipment failures, semi-complex equipment
installation, and modifications and repairs.
This is an onsite daylight position.
The work week may include a weekend day.

**Whatyour day-to-day will look like:**

+ Commissionand support warranty operations for locomotives and coaches,

+ Troubleshootand repair mechanical and electrical issues,

+ Usediagnostic software and laptops for system assessments,

+ Interpretmechanical drawings, schematics, and circuit plans,

+ Documentfailures, repairs, and modifications,

+ ImplementField Modifications (FMIs) to improve quality,

+ Fostera work environment that drives a safety first zero harm culture (ZHC) and speakup when necessary, as a stakeholder for shop and site safety for yourself andyour coworkers,

+ Interact with the leadership as needed on allsite issues, systems, and related facility operations.

**Tothrive in this role, you have:**

+ High School Diploma / GED,

+ Experiencetroubleshooting Electrical (both AC and DC circuits), Mechanical, and Pneumaticsystems,

+ Experience interpretingelectrical and pneumatic schematics and drawings,

+ Ability to read andunderstand schematics, maintenance, repair, and FMI documents,

+ Well demonstrated interpersonalskills and ability to work in a team,

+ Must have basiccomputer skills and work in Microsoft Office,

+ Must be willing andopen to working various shifts and days off,

+ Candidates must be ableto work independently and without much supervision,

+ Individuals mustpossess a valid Driver’s License in good standing,

+ Ability to work safely,report hazards, and recognize risks,

+ Ability to travel for training –approximately 10% (including up to 3 months in person training in Philadelphia, PA).

+ Setting you apart from others would be an AA or BA/BS in Electrical, Electrical Automation, or Industrial Maintenance with a background in rolling stock maintenance and commissioning or other rail-related experience. SAP is a plus.
