The Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.
**We are looking for Mechanical Assembler IV for our LV/MV assembly Integration Team. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. You will train at our Wendell NC facility for the first month before moving over to the Knightdale location.**
As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building and assembling of Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as Switchgears, Switchboards and Breakers.
**Shift Hours** : 7:00am – 3:30pm
**Hourly Rate** : $24.79
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications**
+ 5+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
+ 5+ years of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated
+ SAP and Salesforce experience
+ Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values
+ Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices
+ Able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical components
+ Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
+ Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
+ Certified crane operator
+ Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer – sponsored work authorization.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Ability to train others in all areas of responsibility and all other duties assigned by management team

+ Assemble, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.
+ Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
+ Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
+ Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
+ Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

+ The pay for this position is $24.79 / hour. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
