Role Description:

The Senior Director, Engineering – India serves as the senior engineering leader for Amgen India (AIN) and a key member of the Global Engineering leadership network. Reporting to Global Engineering with a dotted-line to Amgen India site leadership, this role is accountable not only for standing up future-state engineering capabilities aligned with Amgen’s Technology and Workforce Strategy (TWFS), but also for overseeing, integrating, and sustaining those capabilities post-implementation.

This role provides enduring value beyond initial capability activation by ensuring integrated, high-performing, and inspection-ready engineering services that are fully embedded into global engineering operating models. The Senior Director acts as the primary integration point between India-based engineering capabilities and Global Engineering, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards, seamless global delivery, and continuous optimization over time.

Roles & Responsibilities:

+ **Strategic Leadership, Integration & Capability Ownership**

+ End-to-end ownership of TWFS engineering capabilities from stand-up through steady-state operations

+ Serve as the integration point between India engineering and Global Engineering

+ TranslateTWFS ambition into durable operating models and governance

+ **Execution, Governance & Value Delivery**

+ Oversee capability performance post go-live

+ Establish governance linking Global Engineering and India site leadership

+ Own KPIs for safety, quality, compliance, cost, and productivity

+ **Safety, Quality & Compliance**

+ Full accountability for cGMP, EHS, and inspection readiness

+ Partner with Quality and EHS to proactively manage risk

+ **Talent & Culture**

+ Build and sustain a high-performing engineering organization

+ Develop future leaders and foster continuous learning

+ **Partner & Stakeholder Management**

+ Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, Digital, and Business Services

+ Ensure alignment across Operations and Global Engineering

Functional Skills:

**Preferred** **Qualifications** **:**

+ Experience in leading large-scale transformations

+ Knowledgeable in local market talent across Capital Projects, Facilities, and Environmental Health & Safety

+ Wellintegrated into external stakeholder landscapeand local community

+ Extensive experience working across diverse global teams including but not limited toCapital Projects,GlobalFacilitiesManagement, and Environmental Health & Safety

**Good-to-Have Skills:**

Experience working in a matrixed organization

**Basic Qualifications and Experience:**

• Doctorate degree / Master’s degree with 22+yrs of Industrial experience.

• 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources.
