**Responsibilities:**
Siemens Industry is looking for a highly skilled and experienced **Manufacturing Engineering Manager** for our **Grand Prairie, TX** factory located in the heart of the DFW Metroplex. Our growing facility has over 1,200 employees that produce high-quality engineered and make–to–order power distribution equipment. The **Manufacturing Engineering Manager’s** responsibilities include leading a team of engineers who provide lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and industrial engineering support to manufacturing / assembly lines, and facilitating lean projects in support of the North Star lean manufacturing transformation at the Grand Prairie site.
**You will make an impact by:**
**Team Management:**
+ Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing direction, guidance, development opportunities, and evaluating their performance.
**Budget Oversight:**
+ Manage the Manufacturing Engineering budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
**Work Prioritization:**
+ Prioritize and plan work activities for the Manufacturing Engineering team to meet goals and deadlines aligned with Grand Prairie’s North Star.
**Project Portfolio Management:**
+ Manage the Manufacturing Engineering project portfolio for the Grand Prairie site.
+ Collaborate with the automation team and other cross-functional partners to identify, create business case, and deploy manufacturing automation and other process optimization solutions (including automated machine systems, robotic cells, SCADA, tool control, manufacturing execution systems, etc.).
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ S. degree or greater in Engineering or related field (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, etc.)
+ >3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment as a **Manufacturing Engineer** (or similar) providing support to assembly or manufacturing lines, and leading CapEx and automation projects with quantifiable business results
+ >2 years of experience as a **people leader** , managing a team of engineers or technical personnel
+ High proficiency in applying lean manufacturing techniques, and delivering tangible business results
+ High proficiency in data and analytics
+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with team building, and developing less experienced engineers
+ 6 Sigma / Lean / PMP certification(s)
+ Experience with automation, including solution selection and deployment
+ Experience simulating / modeling manufacturing systems and processes, and diagnostics
+ Experience with lifecycle management systems, MES, QMS, and master data management.
+ Experience with SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems
+ Experience with Change Management
+ Experience in a CBA / Union environment
+ Excellent presentation and communication skills
