The Government Account Manager is responsible for driving commercial growth within the federal and state public healthcare sectors in Brazil, developing strategic relationships with key government stakeholders, and managing the full sales cycle for Leica Biosystems’ solutions within public institutions.
This position reports to the Sales Manager Brazil and is part of the Sales Organization l ocated in São Paulo working remotely to cover the Brazil Territory .
In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
+ Achieve monthly, quarterly, annual sales goals for the territory; Provide proper funnel management and prepare status report for the organization.
+ Develop and execute the commercial strategy for federal and state government accounts.
+ Drive the sales process for Leica Biosystems’ solutions within public hospitals, laboratories, and institutions linked to the Ministry of Health.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders to expand Leica’s presence across the public healthcare ecosystem.
+ Monitor policy changes, regulatory updates, and public health investment priorities that impact business opportunities.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields
+ Required Skills:
+ Proven experience in sales to public healthcare institutions, ideally within medical devices, diagnostics, or healthcare solutions.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage long and complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
+ Proficiency with CRM systems and structured pipeline management.
+ Language: Intermediate English
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role
+ Ability to travel up to 75% within Brazil, including overnight trips, to federal institutions and state-level accounts.
+ Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Working with Conitec submissions, HTA documentation, or public health economic evaluations.
+ Experience in pathology, laboratory workflow, or diagnostics-related solutions.
+ Existing network within federal hospitals, SUS programs, or public procurement decision-makers.
