We are seeking a Architect – AEM (Adobe Experience Manager)/Frontend Solutions to lead the architecture and technical direction of Phenomenex’s digital customer experience platforms.
This role is centered on frontend architecture leadership and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), with responsibility for designing scalable, high-performing, and maintainable digital solutions across commercial and eCommerce platforms. The role partners closely with backend, platform, and enterprise teams to define clean integration patterns while maintaining clear ownership of frontend and AEM architecture.
AI-enabled capabilities are viewed as a strategic enabler and future-facing competency, complementing—rather than defining—the core responsibilities of this role.
In this role you will be responsible for:
+ Own and define the end-to-end AEM and frontend architecture strategy for enterprise-scale digital and eCommerce platforms and lead architecture reviews and technical roadmaps.
+ Establish and govern integration patterns between frontend platforms and backend systems built on Java and/or .NET and lead
+ Establish technical governance and mentor engineering teams to elevate platform maturity, quality standards, and long-term maintainability and Partner with product owners, marketing, UX, and IT leadership to translate business priorities into actionable technical roadmaps
The required qualifications for the job include:
+ Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Product, Marketing, UX, and IT leadership to convert business objectives into structured, executable technical strategies.
+ 10+ years of web development experience, with proven expertise architecting and delivering large-scale Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions, including deep knowledge of AEM Sites, Assets, Forms, Sling, OSGi, Dispatcher, and Core Components.
+ Strong programming proficiency in JavaScript, Java, HTML, and CSS, with hands-on experience integrating modern frontend frameworks such as Angular or Vue.js.
+ Experience designing robust architecture and integration strategies across Java and/or .NET environments, with a solid understanding of information architecture, security best practices, and compliance standards.
+ Foundational experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, including knowledge of cloud-native deployment models, scalability considerations, and platform resilience.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Adobe Certification (ACE) – AEM Architect or Developer.
+ Experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions such as Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target.
+ Exposure to AI-enabled or personalization-driven digital experiences, with a interest in contributing to broader AI-driven initiatives and innovation programs across the organization.
+ Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, automated testing frameworks, and structured release management for AEM and frontend platforms.
+ Experience operating within regulated enterprise environments such as life sciences or diagnostics.
