**About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation:**

Siemens Smart Infrastructure Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit is headquartered in Wendell, NC,. The EA Business Unit has a diverse portfolio of products, including, but not limited to, low-voltage MCC, CMR fuse saver, MV switchgear, MV circuit breakers, and metering, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relay maintenance and systems of a standard nature.

**We are looking for a Buyer Team Lead. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance is available.**

The Buyer Team Leader manages the procurement of raw materials, components, and supplies required for production; aiming to balance cost, quality, and delivery speed. They analyze inventory, monitor supplier performance and generate and analyze key purchasing metrics to ensure timely supply chain operations. Key duties include issuing purchase orders (POs), expediting deliveries, and collaborating with production planning leadership and supervisors to meet customer demand.

**You’ll make an impact by:**

+ Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to the buyer team to ensure plant material availability and inventory requirements are balanced and aligned with production needs

+ Support and execute supply chain strategies in partnership with commodity management

+ Track and support performance metrics related to procurement and buying activities in the plant

+ Owning supplier relationships and managing supply chain performance

+ Generating and managing purchase orders in SAP

+ Proactively resolving material shortages and delivery risks

+ Driving supplier KPIs and on-time delivery

+ Supporting supplier setup and qualification

+ Ensuring compliance with Siemens procurement tools and guidelines

+ Leading non-conformance resolution with quality and engineering teams

**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

+ 5+ years in procurement or supply chain

+ Experience with SAP

+ Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills – esp. Excel

+ Customer-focused, collaborative, and adaptable

+ Self-starter with problem-solving and decision-making skills

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Familiar with MV power distribution equipment
