The Senior Sustaining Engineering is responsible for leveraging change management and good problem solving principles to plan and lead strategic projects, primarily associated with operating margin expansion. They will work closely in multi-faceted teams to focus on process improvements, mostly within consumables manufacturing
This position reports to the Director of Sustaining Engineering and is part of the Global Operations Engineering located in Deland, FL OR New Port Richey, FL OR Cortland, NY and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Execute and lead characterization of manufacturing processes to drive improvements to manufacturing capability
+ Solve complex problems by using perspective and leveraging experience, and act as a resource to junior associates
+ Leverage expanded knowledge and practical expertise of manufacturing processes, machinery, and project management to support cross-functional cost savings funnel building and execution
+ Solve complex problems by taking on a new perspective from experience. Exercise good judgement based on data
+ Execute and lead engineering solutions to drive operational margin expansion
The essential requirements of the job include
+ Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) with 4+ years of relevant workforce experience.
+ Leads and supports execution of functional strategy, guiding cross‑functional teams and projects to solve complex problems using structured methodologies.
+ Actively engages in structured problem‑solving frameworks (DMAIC, PSP, VRK, etc.) and makes data‑driven decisions using advanced statistical analysis.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical learnings across all organizational levels.
+ Demonstrates strong self‑management and organized project execution, using structured work systems (Daily Management, Project VPM, etc.) and aligning with manager on priorities when needed.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Travel up to 25%, mainly in North America east coast region
+ Occasional lifting, moving or carrying of equipment up to 50lbs.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ AutoCAD, CATIA, Inventor, technical drawing creation
+ SAP or similar ERP system
+ Minitab, JMP, or similar data analysis and statistical tools
+ Strong Microsoft Excel and presentation skills

The annual salary range for this role is $100,000 – $130,000 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
