Role Description

The Principal Engineer, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Data is responsible for global execution and maintenance of Amgen’s CMMS. This role supports initial asset incorporation, end-to-end asset lifecycle management, and associated compliance across Engineering and Facilities operations.

Reporting to the Director, Engineering Systems, Technology & Reporting, this role supports CMMS deployment and management, global reliability, and CMMS data strategy.

Roles & Responsibilities

+ OwnsCMMSroadmap execution andimprovementplanning.

+ OwnsandmaintainsapplicableCMMSprocessgoverningand guidance documents.

+ Servesas CMMSsubject matter expert;engagesapplicable site resources(e.g.equipment engineers)andprovidestechnical consultation and training when necessary.

+ Leadssystem enhancements, upgrades, stabilizationenhancements, and adoption initiatives.

+ EnsuresCMMSsolutions support asset reliability, maintenance strategies, and compliance requirements.

+ Supportsstandardization of processesanddata structuresacrossthe portfolio of CMMS records.

+ Supportsroot cause analysis and ensuresimplementation of CMMS-related preventive and corrective actions.

+ Supportsmanagement of traditional preventive maintenance as well asdeployment of advanced maintenancestrategies (such as predictiveand proactive maintenance).

+ Partnerswith Technology, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver scalableandsecure solutions.

+ Managesrisks, dependencies, and delivery discipline acrossCMMSinitiatives.

+ Monitorsand improvesCMMS effectivenessand value(e.g.using internalfeedbackand external benchmarking data)

+ Advancesapplication ofArtificial IntelligencetoCMMSdataand applicationsto improveeffectiveness and efficiency.

+ Experiencemanagingregulatedassetsand asset maintenance data records.

+ Demonstrated experience improvingasset performance, reliability, and value using data andcollaborating withequipment engineering subject matter experts.

+ Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics, analytics, or insights to guide decisions and continuous improvement.

+ Strong collaboration and influencing skills, including the ability to lead outcomes without direct authority.

+ Experience partnering with Technology, Operations(e.g.Manufacturingand Engineering), Quality, Compliance, and Business stakeholders in regulated environments.

+ Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical, system, or data-driven topics to diverse audiences.

+ Demonstrated capability to support change management, user adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Strongexpertisein data governance, analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI), and collaboration tools (e.g.,Teams,SharePoint).

+ Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to business processes, problems, and decisions.

+ Demonstrated experience translating client needs into program-controlled business processes.

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional, and fast-paced global environment.

+ Demonstrated experience leading global teams and partnering with enterprise Technology organizations.

+ Experience working across regions and time zones with cultural awareness and adaptability.

+ Proven experience managing multiple priorities, interdependencies, and competing demands whilemaintainingstrong execution discipline.
