**IT Infrastructure Specialist**

**This position you will work onsite out of ourWendell, NC facility.**
**The IT Infrastructure Specialist** is
responsible for coordinating, governing, and advancing infrastructure services
that support business operations across multiple sites, with a strong focus on **WAN,LAN, server infrastructure, factory/OT connectivity, cybersecurity compliance,and major incident management** . This role serves as the primary liaison
between the business, internal IT teams, and managed service providers to
ensure infrastructure solutions are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned
with both global standards and regional/site needs.
The position is intended to **facilitate infrastructuredemands, manage local infrastructure, coordinate service providers, validatetechnical solutions, support critical issue resolution, and ensure the ITlandscape can support business growth, factory operations, and new siteexpansions** . Similar infrastructure and vendor-facing roles commonly focus
on coordinating technical services, driving standards, supporting design
reviews, managing vendor performance, and ensuring operational continuity.
**Key Responsibilities**
**WAN & Connectivity Management**
+ Ownand coordinate all WAN-related infrastructure requests, including circuitordering, upgrades, and service changes.
+ Leadregular operational touchpoints with WAN providers (e.g., Orange, DeutscheTelekom, or equivalent carriers) to review delivery status, servicequality, and upcoming business needs.
+ Performbandwidth and capacity planning to support business growth, productiondemands, and new site launches.
**LAN & Site Infrastructure Coordination**
+ Coordinatemajor LAN-related requests such as new site deployments, VLAN additions,network expansions, and significant infrastructure changes.
+ Managelocal networks
+ Actas the primary infrastructure liaison for managed service providerssupporting corporate and site network services.
+ Ensureinfrastructure changes are properly documented, approved, communicated,and aligned with governance processes.
+ Supportinfrastructure readiness for business expansion, factory changes, and newoperational requirements.
**Infrastructure Architecture & Governance**
+ Supportfactory-focused infrastructure architecture, including alignment betweenenterprise IT and OT/manufacturing environments.
+ Reviewproposed infrastructure solutions and validate that designs support **reliability,scalability, cybersecurity, and business continuity** .
+ Identifyinfrastructure risks, technical gaps, and non-standard designs; escalatewhere needed and recommend mitigation plans.
+ Ensureglobal infrastructure governance is balanced appropriately with local,regional, and factory operational needs.
**Server, Hosting & Compute Infrastructure**
+ Coordinateordering and infrastructure demand related to on-premises serverenvironments, hybrid platforms, and cloud-hosted services.
+ Supportplanning and governance across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud infrastructurelandscapes.
**Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance**
+ Ensureinfrastructure architecture and service delivery comply with cybersecurityrequirements, internal controls, and company standards.
+ Partnerwith cybersecurity teams to identify, assess, and addressinfrastructure-related risks.
+ Promotesecure and resilient infrastructure practices across factory, office, andmulti-site environments.
**Major Incident, Problem & EscalationManagement**
+ Actas an infrastructure escalation point during major incidents, partneringwith site teams, service providers, and technical stakeholders toaccelerate recovery.
+ Driveor coordinate post-incident reviews, root cause analysis (RCA), andcorrective action follow-up.
+ Identifyrecurring issues and work with vendors and internal teams to reduceincident frequency and improve service stability.
**Stakeholder Partnership & BusinessAlignment**
+ Actas a trusted infrastructure advisor to IT leadership, business partners,and site stakeholders.
+ Translatetechnical issues, risks, and recommendations into clear business-impactlanguage for non-technical audiences.
+ Supportexecution of global IT strategy while balancing local operational andfactory needs.
+ Contributeto continuous improvement in infrastructure processes, documentation,governance, and service transparency.
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’sdegree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or arelated field, or equivalent practical experience.
+ **6–8+years of experience in IT infrastructure** , preferably incomplex, multi-site enterprise environments.
+ Experience working in **vendor-managed IT service environments** .
+ Established foundation in **WAN, LAN, networking, and infrastructure service delivery** .
+ Experiencereviewing or supporting infrastructure architecture across **on-premises,hybrid, and cloud environments** .
+ Experiencesupporting **multiple locations** , growing businesses, and/or new sitedeployments.
+ Exposureto **factory or manufacturing environments** , including awareness ofOT/production-critical infrastructure needs.
+ Experiencecoordinating or supporting **major incidents, problem management, andescalations** .
+ Proficiency in English both written and verbal
+ Applicants must be legally authorized to work inthe United States without the need for new or future company sponsorship.Candidates with an existing, established sponsorship arrangement may beconsidered.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experiencewith **ITIL-based processes** , especially Incident, Problem, and ChangeManagement.
+ Familiaritywith **infrastructure governance and standardization** in globalorganizations.
+ Understandingof **OT/IT integration** , network segmentation, and production-criticalenvironments.
+ Experiencewith **server management** , data center operations, or hybrid/cloudhosting models.
+ Exposureto **service management metrics** , including SLAs, OLAs, KPIs, MTTR,and RCA tracking.
+ Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Proven ability to work with senior leaders and translate technical topics into business-relevant language.
+ Strong negotiation, coordination, and vendor management skills.
+ Certificationssuch as:
+ CiscoCCNA, CCNP, CCIE
+ ITILFoundation or higher
+ Cloudfoundation certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
+ Infrastructure,networking, or service management certifications
