**About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation:**

Siemens is a global technology powerhouse that has stood for engineering excellence, innovation, quality, reliability, and internationality.

Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Electrification & Automation (EA) business unit is headquartered in Wendell, NC. The EA Business Unit has a diverse portfolio of products, including, but not limited to, low-voltage MCC, CMR fuse saver, MV switchgear, MV circuit breakers, and metering, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relay maintenance and systems of a standard nature.

**Why This Role Matters:**

PACS is a new factory, and Production Final Test & Inspection is one of the final quality gates before products reach customers. This manager will help define how the facility tests, inspects, documents, releases, reports, and continuously improves finished products.

This role is also critical to data discipline. Consistent test and inspection data enables accurate reporting, stronger KPI management, better prioritization, clearer escalation, and more effective continuous improvement.

The role is also critical to talent development and performance management. As the facility grows, this leader will help create the onboarding, training, KPI, and accountability model that allows employees with the right ownership, teamwork, and learning mindset to become strong technical contributors.

**We are looking for a** **Production Final Test & Inspection Manager** **. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance is available.**

In this role, you will lead the team responsible for final product testing, inspection, outgoing quality control, product release readiness, data quality, KPI reporting, and customer Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) support for electrical power distribution, protection, automation, and related electromechanical equipment.

This is a technical quality operations leadership role. You will manage testers, technicians, inspectors, and supervisors who perform final test and inspection activities for complex products.

You do not need to personally be the expert in every test method, but you must have the technical credibility, quality judgment, data discipline, and process ownership to lead experts, ask the right questions, improve processes, and ensure consistent execution.

A key part of this role is building the operating model for Production Final Test & Inspection in a new factory. That includes structured onboarding, clear training paths, qualification standards, standard work, policy adherence, team KPIs, performance management routines, issue escalation, continuous improvement, and a culture of safety, accountability, learning, and customer-ready quality.

**You’ll make an impact by:**

+ Leading the Production Final Test & Inspection organization for the PACS facility, including testers, technicians, inspectors, and supervisors.

+ Ensuring finished products are tested, inspected, documented, and ready for customer delivery.

+ Strengthening outgoing product quality for power distribution, protection, automation, and related electrical equipment.

+ Owning data quality and reportability for the final test and inspection scope, including consistent records, accurate defect data, reliable test/inspection documentation, and meaningful KPI reporting.

+ Establishing and reviewing team KPIs such as test completion, inspection findings, first-pass quality, defect trends, documentation accuracy, rework drivers, issue aging, training progress, and corrective-action follow-through.

+ Ensuring the team follows applicable team and facility policies, safety requirements, work instructions, documentation standards, escalation expectations, and quality guidelines.

+ Building onboarding, training, qualification, and skills-development paths for final test and inspection roles.

+ Leading performance management routines with supervisors and team members, including expectations, feedback, coaching, accountability, and development actions.

+ Improving standard work, documentation, issue escalation, product release readiness, and customer FAT preparation.

+ Driving continuous improvement in test execution, inspection effectiveness, defect prevention, workflow, documentation accuracy, data quality, and customer experience.

+ Partnering with Production, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, PA, and CS teams to resolve recurring issues and improve final product quality.

**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, production test, inspection, technical operations, electrical equipment, electromechanical manufacturing, or a closely related environment.

+ 2+ years of experience leading, supervising, coaching, or developing technical employees, such as testers, technicians, inspectors, production personnel, quality personnel, supervisors, or technical leads.

+ 2+ years of experience with final inspection, production testing, outgoing quality, product release, customer readiness, manufacturing quality, or similar production quality processes.

+ Experience using data, records, reports, or KPIs to monitor performance, identify trends, support decisions, and drive corrective or continuous improvement actions.

+ Ability to understand and work with technical documentation such as drawings, schematics, specifications, work instructions, inspection procedures, test plans, product documentation, or customer requirements.

+ Demonstrated ability to drive adherence to policies, procedures, safety requirements, work instructions, quality guidelines, and performance expectations in a production or technical environment.

+ Strong quality mindset, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and attention to detail in a production environment.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 7+ years of experience in electrical manufacturing, electromechanical manufacturing, power distribution, protection, automation, industrial control panels, switchgear, circuit breakers, MCCs, or related equipment.

+ 3+ years of direct people leadership experience managing supervisors, technical leads, testers, technicians, inspectors, quality personnel, or production teams.

+ 3+ years of experience with end-of-line testing, production final test, final inspection, outgoing product quality, customer inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests, or similar final quality gate processes.

+ 2+ years of experience building or improving KPI dashboards, quality reports, defect reporting, test/inspection records, electronic data collection, Power BI/Excel reporting, ERP/MES reporting, or similar operational reporting routines.

+ 2+ years of experience building or improving onboarding programs, training matrices, qualification standards, skill assessments, technical progression paths, or technician development programs.

+ Experience with ISO 9001, Lean, RCA/CAPA, 8D, NCR management, structured problem solving, internal audits, calibration systems, or continuous improvement methods.
