**About The Role:**
We are seeking a highly accomplished investigations executive to serve as Director, Americas Investigations, a senior leadership role within our Global Trust & Investigations function. This leader will have enterprise responsibility for the direction, quality, and integrity of internal investigations across the Americas region.
The Director will be entrusted with oversight of the company’s most sensitive and complex matters—including allegations of fraud, corruption, retaliation, conflicts of interest, discrimination, harassment, and other serious misconduct—and will serve as a trusted advisor to senior Legal, HR, Compliance, and business leaders.

This is a dual-focus executive role combining strategic leadership with hands-on investigative authority:
+ Owns investigations standards, outcomes, and risk posture for the Americas region.
+ Serves as a strategic advisor to the Global Head of Trust & Investigations on trends, systemic risk, and program evolution.
+ Personally leads or oversees the most complex, high-risk, or high-profile investigations.
+ Elevates investigative practice from reactive case management to a disciplined, insight-driven enterprise capability.
**What You’ll Do:**
Leadership & Team Management
+ Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
+ Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
+ Direct highly visible initiatives, projects, and operational activities with a high level of risk and complexity across sub-functions or business processes.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and colleagues to act while being guided by the organization’s functional business plans.
Investigations Leadership & Governance
+ Provide executive oversight of all Americas investigations, ensuring consistency, legal defensibility, and alignment with global standards and local regulatory requirements.
+ Serve as escalation point for sensitive, high-impact, or precedent-setting matters.
+ Review and approve investigation strategies, scope decisions, findings, and final reports.
+ Ensure investigations are conducted with independence, confidentiality, and respect for due process.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically dispersed team of investigations professionals.
+ Set clear expectations for investigative rigor, judgment, communication, and professionalism.
+ Build succession strength and foster a culture of accountability, learning, and ethical excellence.
Complex Investigations Execution
+ Personally lead or oversee the most sensitive and complex investigations when warranted.
+ Conduct high-stakes witness and subject interviews and evidence assessments.
+ Produce concise, well-reasoned reports suitable for senior leadership, Legal review, and regulatory scrutiny.
Enterprise Partnership & Insight
+ Act as a trusted advisor to Legal, HR, Compliance, and senior business leadership on misconduct risk, investigative outcomes, and remediation.
+ Identify trends, root causes, and systemic risk indicators arising from investigations.
+ Contribute to proactive risk mitigation, policy refinement, and training initiatives.
Program Advancement & Global Integration
+ Support continuous improvement of investigation frameworks, tools, metrics, and reporting.
+ Represent the Americas region in global investigations initiatives and strategy forums.
+ Partner with global peers to ensure consistency, credibility, and best-in-class investigative practice.

Experience & Expertise
+ 10+ years of investigative experience within legal, compliance, risk, audit, or law enforcement environments.
+ 5+ years of senior people leadership experience managing complex, dispersed teams.
+ Demonstrated experience handling high-risk, high-visibility investigations in large, matrixed organizations.
+ Deep understanding of investigative standards, employment law considerations, and regulatory expectations across the Americas.
Leadership & Judgment
+ Recognized for sound judgment, independence, and discretion in complex, ambiguous situations.
+ Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
+ Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including executive-level reporting.
Education & Credentials
+ Bachelor’s degree required.
+ Advanced degree (JD, Criminal Justice, HR, or related field) strongly preferred; active bar membership a plus.
+ Professional certifications (e.g., CFE, PCI, AWI) desirable.
+ Multilingual capability (Spanish, Portuguese, or French) is a plus.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, experience, and location. The minimum salary for the Director of Americas Investigations position is $175,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Director of Americas Investigations position is $210,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
