As the **Vertical Sales Executive – Higher Education (Building Automation)** , you are responsible for driving growth of Siemens’ building automation, digital controls, and energy solutions across campus environments where sustainability, comfort, and operational efficiency are strategic priorities. You combine **Higher Education operational knowledge** with **automation and digital expertise** to help institutions modernize infrastructure, meet sustainability goals, and improve campus‑wide performance. **As the Vertical Sales Executive – Higher Education (Building Automation), you will:**

+ Build and maintain a strong pipeline of automation and digital opportunities within Higher Education accounts

+ Develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned colleges and universities, with emphasis on modernization, deferred maintenance, capital programs, and sustainability priorities

+ Lead consultative discovery with facilities, energy, sustainability, finance, procurement, and executive campus stakeholders focused on energy efficiency, sustainability, and lifecycle optimization

+ Position Siemens automation solutions to support smart campus initiatives and operational excellence

+ Act as a trusted advisor to facilities, energy, and executive campus stakeholders

+ Expand digital monitoring, analytics, and energy services across multi‑building portfolios

+ Collaborate closely with operations and delivery teams to ensure successful execution

+ Utilize AI enabled tools to refine sales strategies and improve success rates

+ Represent Siemens at Higher Education customer events, conferences, and industry associations where appropriate

**You will make an impact with these qualifications:**

_Basic Qualifications_

+ 8+ years of experience selling building automation, controls, or digital building solutions

+ Proven success selling complex technical solutions across multi‑building environments

+ Strong financial acumen and ability to sell value-based solutions and present business cases to senior campus leaders

+ Experience leading technical presentations and discovery workshops

+ Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens’ fleet vehicle program

+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

+ Ability to travel 50%

_Preferred Qualifications:_

+ Experience selling directly to colleges, universities, or similar institutional customers

+ Experience supporting higher education campuses or institutional facilities

+ Understanding of campus operations, master planning, capital funding cycles, deferred maintenance, and consensus-driven decision making

+ Knowledge of digital building platforms, analytics, and energy optimization

The pay range for this position is $91,463 – $156,794 annually plus an uncapped sales incentive structure. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
