As an **Area Operations Manager, Solutions** , you will be responsible for leading and growing a $100M P&L and direct operational execution across all customers within your assigned area (Fremont, Sacramento & Fresno). You will be accountable for profitable growth, operational excellence, and delivery performance, while ensuring alignment with Siemens SI B standards. This role works in close partnership with central Operations functions—including PMO, Operations Excellence, and the Large Project Organization (LPO)—to ensure consistent use of shared capabilities, best practices, and premium project delivery.
**As an Area Operations Manager, Solutions, you will:**
+ Drive end-to-end operational performance across the assigned area, ensuring adherence to Siemens SI B standards, defined sales processes, and execution methodologies
+ Meet and/or exceed quarterly and annual budget commitments, including revenue, gross margin, and operating margin targets
+ Plan, direct, and oversee operational activities to support sustainable growth and consistent project execution excellence
+ Monitor project performance to control job costs, manage risk, and ensure delivery within agreed scope, schedule, and cost parameters
+ Partner closely with central Operations teams (PMO, Operations Excellence, and LPO) to leverage standard tools, resources, and best practices
+ Provide operational and technical support to Sales teams, including pricing guidance, scope definition, and execution strategy for competitive bids
+ Lead workforce planning by hiring, developing, allocating, and performance-managing resources to support current and future business needs
+ Ensure balance sheet, cash flow, and working capital performance are in line with Siemens and SI B North Star expectations
+ Maintain close alignment with Area General Management on market strategy, execution priorities, and growth initiatives
**You will make an impact with these qualifications:**
_Basic Qualifications:_
+ 10+ years of experience leading operations in a project-based, solutions, or engineering environment (Commercial Construction/Building Automation Controls, Fire/Life Safety & Electronic Security Systems)
+ Financial acumen, including responsibility for revenue, margin, cost control, and cash flow performance, previous work experience managing large P&L
+ Experience partnering effectively with Sales, Project Management, and operations organizations
+ High School diploma or state-recognized GED
+ Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens’ fleet vehicle program
+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
+ Technical and operational expertise relevant to solutions-based delivery environments
+ People leadership capability, including talent development and workforce planning
