**Position Description**

Siemens Fort Worth, TX is looking for a Calibration/Metrology Technician to join their new facility. This role is responsible for ensuring all monitoring and measuring equipment used in the facility and elsewhere is in compliance with applicable quality and calibration standards. This position has a direct impact on maintaining the organization’s ISO certification, and potential to impact overall product quality. The candidate must have prior work experience or operational knowledge of calibration management software (GageTRAK preferred). Additionally, this candidate will require excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a desire to drive continuous improvement.

The Calibration/Metrology Technician is critical in empowering Siemens employees to design and assemble products safely, confidently, and with the highest quality standards.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Create and maintain accurate records in calibration management software for ~3000 tools.

+ Set up and prepare instruments and equipment for calibration procedures. Ensure proper handling and storage of sensitive calibration standards.

+ Monitor the calibration status of tools, collect past-due or defective tools for in-house calibration.

+ Perform calibration of various tools according to provided standard operating procedure

+ Including, but not limited to: Micrometers, Calipers, Torque Wrenches, Wire Crimpers, Tape Measures, Custom Fixtures, Digital Equipment

+ Assess tools for defects and determine whether they are to be repaired or disposed of

+ Coordinate with purchasing and logistics to arrange for outsourced calibration or repair services as needed

+ Ensure that no tools are past-due for calibration and that all tools conform to ISO standards for monitoring and measuring devices

+ Coordinate with purchasing to procure calibrated tools for new hires as needed

+ Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, production staff, and quality assurance personnel. Collaborate to resolve dimensional issues, improve product designs, and enhance manufacturing processes.

+ Collect and organize data related to calibration status reports product, dimensions, tolerances and quality metrics. Maintain detailed records of calibration status, measurements and analysis results. Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for analysis and review.

+ Lead improvement efforts related to calibration system with Plant Management, Supervisors, and shop floor Personnel.

+ Perform weekly toolboxes and station audits to verify there are no past due tools and that tools are in good condition.

**Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience**

+ Minimum 1 year of experience in related area in a manufacturing facility

+ Experience with ISO Audits

+ Experience with handling and calibration of tools

+ Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines), and related software. Familiarity with CAD software is advantageous.

+ Exposure to calibration management software (GageTRAK preferred)

+ Experience in preparing Microsoft Excel reports

+ Strong interpersonal communication skills
