The Consumables Product Manager is responsible for setting the strategy, roadmap, messaging, and feature definition for our consumables products. The portfolio includes sterile flowpaths for drug product manufacturing, single-use swabs, and tools used during the aseptic filling process. The position is also accountable for driving development/sustainment projects for lifecycle management and measures to support revenue growth, including pricing and margin expansion.
This position reports to the Senior Manager, Product Management and is part of the Aseptic Filling business (formerly known as Vanrx) located in Burnaby, BC Canada and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
+ Establish a long-term strategy for consumables offerings to effectively serve the customer segments in our install base. This includes but is not limited to specification and pricing of the flowpath designs we offer, and introduction and obsolescence of flowpath designs as market needs evolve.
+ Manage relationships with our manufacturing partners to ensure continuity of supply. This includes ensuring partners provide the information customers need for quality and technical purposes to limit audit requests.
+ Lead and direct stakeholders as required to achieve our long-term strategic and quality objectives. Stakeholder functions include Marketing, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and others as needed.
+ Perform technical tasks where needed such as verification and validation testing.
+ Interface with customers and industry groups to stay on top of market trends and evolve strategy as needed.
Who you are:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or equivalent degree with 5+ years’ related experience in the life sciences industry. Preference will be given to those with drug product experience.
+ Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas to a non-technical audience. Strong abilities to lead presentations and/or training.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Flexibility to travel for reasonable durations (1-2 weeks) up to 30% total travel load. This includes domestic and international trips.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Danaher Business Systems (DBS) and/or business tools common to Product Management.
+ An Operations setting (order management, stocking strategies, ERP transactions, etc)

The salary range for this role is $91,400 to $125,600 per year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
