**ROLE SUMMARY**

Pfizer seeks a dynamic leader with deep industry knowledge of commercial data assets, i.e. IQVIA, Symphony, Optum, etc. along with analytics experience to serve as the Director of Data Governance. The role is Global and covers all 3rd party sourced commercial data across Primary Care, Specialty Care, and Oncology.

This is an individual contributor role.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Financial oversight of Purchase Orders and overall data budget ensuring Pfizer Inc. is acquiring 3rd party commercial data at the best possible cost and with no duplication.

+ Data vendor selection: Communicate synthesized data vendor recommendations to business unit leaders and Commercial Analytics leaders. Influence these stakeholders and align vendor selection according to key business use cases and data value.

+ Identification and evaluation of innovative pharmaceutical data vendors. Communicate new potential use cases of these data vendors to business unit leaders and Commercial Analytics leaders. Lead pilot programs with Commercial Analytics stakeholders in all three business units to demonstrate value of new data and use cases.

+ Lead commercial data governance processes including a data governance council including business unit leaders from Primary Care, Specialty Care, and Oncology as well as Commercial Analytics leaders assigned to each business unit.

+ Establish best practice frameworks for data governance and data quality.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**

+ 10+ professional experience; 7+ years of data management coding experience; 5+ years of advanced analytics experience

+ Deep knowledge of the commercial data landscape in the pharmaceutical industry.

+ BA required, MS or above preferred, relevant fields include but are not limited to operations research, data science, statistics, computer programming.

+ Change management and experience with operationalizing tools / platforms.

+ Demonstrated business and financial acumen.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

+ Advanced degree (PhD) in operations research, data science, statistics, computer programming, or Epidemiology.

**ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS**

**Provide the primary groups or key role(s) that this role will interact with as a regular part of the role responsibilities. Include any external interactions as appropriate.**

**Work very closely with colleagues from different functional backgrounds across Commercial Analytics, CMO, Digital, and Procurement. Manage and interact with multiple external data vendors such as IQVIA.**

**Work Location Assignment:** **Hybrid**

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
