Description
**Role Summary**
Pfizer is seeking a Director, Integrated Insights & Strategy (IIS) to serve as the Obesity Lifecycle Forecasting Lead for Pfizer’s commercial obesity portfolio. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role responsible for building and owning the end-to-end forecast “truth” that informs leadership decisions across strategy, investment, resourcing, and performance management.
You will architect and run best-in-class patient-based forecast models that translate a complex and rapidly evolving obesity market into a defensible, decision-ready forecast. This includes stock-and-flow patient dynamics, regimen sequencing, initiation and discontinuation, persistence, switching, access dynamics, and the translation of patient flows into TRx/NBRx and demand. You will communicate forecast logic and assumptions with clarity and credibility from working teams through Pfizer senior executive leadership.
You will sit within the Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) organization and work in close partnership with brand marketing, finance, market research, and data science.
**Role Responsibilities**
**Forecasting Architecture and Ownership:**
+ Own and continuously evolve Pfizer’s obesity portfolio forecast architecture, including patient stock-and-flow models that explain and reconcile TRx/NBRx, demand, and revenue
+ Break down the market into transparent, modular components enabling clear explanation of each driver and assumption
+ Design model structures that handle real-world complexity: heterogeneous patient segments, prescriber channels, therapy lines, titration/maintenance patterns, adherence/persistence, and re-start behavior
+ Establish a clear linkage between epidemiology, market dynamics, product strategy, access/affordability, and observed utilization
**Planning Cycles: LRF / Operating Plan / Performance Management**
+ Lead development of Long-Range Forecasts (LRF) and Operating Plans, including scenario planning (base/upside/downside) and sensitivity of outcomes to key assumptions in clear executive narratives
+ Provide regular assessments of portfolio performance vs. forecast, identifying root causes, updating assumptions, and recommending actions
+ Produce decision-grade deliverables that support key governance moments (e.g., investment decisions, launch readiness, capacity planning, strategic prioritization)
**Data & Evidence Integration**
+ Integrate and reconcile diverse evidence streams including claims, EHR, payer/formulary/access data, demand/sales, primary market research, and analyst reports
+ Identify data gaps and propose new datasets, methods, and partnerships to improve capture of an evolving market
+ Partner with data science/engineering to improve scalability, traceability, and repeatability of the forecast process
**Basic Qualifications**
+ BA/BS in Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field required
+ 8+ years in consulting, finance, or market analytics
+ 5+ years at a high-value level (e.g., US & Global) developing data-driven brand strategy for key business assets
+ Demonstrated expertise designing complex pharma forecast models that connect patient dynamics to TRx and demand
+ Proven ability to influence and advise senior leadership; strong track record of executive-ready communication and storytelling
+ Strong proficiency in Excel-based modeling and PowerPoint communication with high standards for logic, structure, and clarity
+ Deep experience leveraging primary research and secondary data (e.g., claims, EHR, payer/access, sales/demand data) to develop defensible assumptions
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ MS, MBA, MPH, or PhD preferred
+ Experience in obesity/metabolic/cardiovascular categories; familiarity with access dynamics and real-world persistence patterns common to chronic therapies preferred
+ Proficiency with advanced analytics tools: Python/R, SQL, and visualization tools such as Tableau/Power BI preferred
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
