**About the Job**

so, we invite you to become the Director of Product Management, Government
within our Asset & Maintenance (A&M) team– a pivotal individual
contributor role that offers the autonomy and influence to be the “CEO of
your product line.”

In this high-impact, global role, you set the strategy and
drive delivery of efficient asset management, enhanced communications, and
AI-powered decision intelligence solutions specifically tailored for government
entities. You’ll own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from defining the
long-term vision and multi-year roadmap to ensuring successful execution and
market adoption. This is more than just product management; it’s an opportunity
to elevate our entire selling proposition from a product-centric approach to a
powerful, vertical-focused solution that truly resonates with the unique needs
of government clients.

**What you will do**

This role offers a unique opportunity to blend strategic
vision with hands-on execution, making a tangible impact on public agencies
globally. Your responsibilities will include:

**Set Product Strategy & Vision**

+ **Defineand Champion Vision:** Own the multi-year, AI‑enhanced productvision and strategy for our government solutions, incorporating predictivemodels, decision support, and scenario forecasting aligned with governmentneeds.

+ **Builda Stakeholder-Informed Roadmap:** Translate critical public sectorchallenges—such as deferred maintenance, resiliency, equity, and fundinggaps—into a clear, actionable product roadmap with measurable outcomes.

+ **LeadU.S. Government Product Focus:** Lead the Government productportfolio with a dedicated focus on the technical and operational needs ofU.S. state and local government asset management. This includesunderstanding infrastructure funding sources and eligibility requirements,the government technology stack (e.g., ERPs and best‑of‑breed systems),and the end‑to‑end customer journey across asset management functions.

**Own Product & Market Outcomes**

+ **DriveGlobal Expansion:** Spearhead our strategic expansion into theUnited States – our largest and most significant market opportunity –while continuing to support and grow our solutions in Australia and theUK. This involves understanding regional nuances and adapting our offeringsfor maximum impact.

+ **Advancethe Intelligent Planning Platform:** Drive the roadmap toward anintelligent planning platform, integrating advanced technologies likeMachine Learning (ML), Large Language Model (LLM) assisted workflows, GIS,and asset performance prediction.

+ **ActivateMarket Advocacy:** Champion the product with clients and inlate-stage deals; collaborate with Sales and Marketing on publicsector-ready positioning, pricing, and enablement; and help shape a 3rdparty channel strategy.

+ **MarketSensing:** Build and maintain a robust market sensing engine,continuously tracking policy/regulatory shifts, funding programs,competitive moves, and AI adoption trends across local government.

**Execute Through Cross-Functional Leadership**

+ **OrchestrateSeamless Delivery:** Partner closely with UX/Design, Engineering,Commercial, Client Services, and Professional Services teams to deliver atrustworthy, intuitive, AI-enabled user experience and implementation.

+ **LeadClient Engagement:** Support Client Advisory Boards acrossmunicipalities and counties, actively testing concepts, validating AIfeatures, and gathering essential feedback.

+ **ConnectData-Driven Insights:** Collaborate with Reporting & Analyticsto connect capital investment modeling, operational performance data, andmachine learning insights across the Brightly platform.

**Champion Customers & the Market**

+ **BuildImmersive Client Understanding:** Meet directly with clients tobuild strong relationships and gain firsthand insight into theiroperations, challenges, and priorities.

+ **Amplifythe Voice of the Customer:** Serve as the authentic voice of citymanagers, public works leaders, asset managers, budget officers, andplanning departments, ensuring their needs directly inform productdecisions and long-term strategy.

+ **DemonstrateIndustry Leadership:** Represent Brightly at industry events andgovernment forums, championing how responsible AI enhances infrastructureplanning, strengthens asset resiliency, and supports transparent, fiscallyresponsible decision-making.

**What you need**

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’sdegree in Engineering, Public Administration, Business, Urban Planning orrelated subject area

+ 10+years of progressive product management experience, preferably withinSaaS, GovTech, asset management, infrastructure/facilities planning, orclosely related fields.

+ 3+years specialized product experience creating and launching services orproducts specifically for the U.S. local government operations sector.This includes a solid understanding of budgeting cycles, asset lifecycleplanning, and urban/infrastructure planning processes.

+ Demonstratedproficiency with GIS tools and concepts, with hands-on experience usingESRI or similar products being a distinct advantage.

+ Proventrack record of defining, launching, and iterating on products thatdeliver measurable results, drive significant product adoption, andcontribute directly to revenue growth.

+ Stronganalytical abilities to interpret complex financial and operational data,as well as critically evaluate AI-generated insights (e.g., predictions,confidence levels, trade-offs) to inform product decisions.

+ Demonstrableexperience in leading and influencing cross-functional teams from conceptthrough successful delivery, without direct managerial authority. You canalign diverse groups towards a common product vision.

+ Abilityand willingness to travel extensively across the U.S. (and occasionallyinternationally to the UK or Australia) for onsite client visits,customer-centric events, and industry conferences, as needed.

+ **ExecutivePresence & Credibility:** Possess strong executive presence andcredibility, enabling effective engagement with senior leadership,government officials, and key industry partners.

+ **Innovation& Business Model Transformation:** A track record of thinkingbeyond current offerings, identifying new opportunities, and drivingbusiness model innovation within the product space.

+ **ExceptionalCommunication:** Superb written and oral communication skills, withthe ability to clearly and concisely explain complex AI and analyticsconcepts to both technical and non-technical collaborators.

+ **Customer-CentricEngagement:** An exceptional client service ethic and comfortengaging confidently with leaders across municipalities, counties,educational institutions, and other public entities.

+ **M&AIntegration Experience:** Experience with Mergers &Acquisitions integration, including process/strategy integration, culturalalignment, and building cross-geographical teams.

+ **PublicSector AI & Data Governance:** Familiarity with responsible AIprinciples (e.g., privacy, fairness, transparency), public datagovernance, and procurement processes specific to local government.
