**Study Start Up Hub – Director Study Start-up**
**What you will do**
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will ensure world-class study start-up planning and execution by leading teams, strengthening capabilities, and continuously improving how we deliver high-quality clinical trials at speed.
+ Lead and inspire the Study Start-Up Management team to deliver high-quality study start-up activities with speed, efficiency, and budget discipline.
+ Provide strategic direction and people leadership to SSUSeniorManagers, building a high-performing, engaged, and future-ready team.
+ Drive continuous improvement through leadership of the SSUHub,promoting innovation, consistency, and best-practice ways of working.
+ Oversee SSU operating model performance, proactivelyidentifyingrisks and implementing improvements to optimize delivery outcomes.
+ Ensure strong SSU management capability through targeted development of skills, processes, systems, and technologyexpertise.
+ Lead SSU manager resource planning and forecasting to ensureoptimalcapacity and effective portfolio delivery.
+ Foster a culture of empowerment, collaboration, and open communication that encourages learning and challenges the status quo.
+ Build strong partnerships with global and cross-functional stakeholders to enable seamless execution and support operating model transformation.
**What we expect of you**
We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The candidate we seek is an individual with the following qualifications.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ **Pharma Expertise:** Requires pharma and clinical trial processes and operationsexpertise; no relevant therapeutic knowledgerequired
+ **Management Experience:** Requires experience leading and managing global teams and project management experience
+ **Tech Skills:** No prior Veeva experiencerequired
+ Doctorate degree & 4 years of clinical execution experience or equivalent OR
+ Master’s degree & 8 years of clinical execution experience or equivalent OR
+ Bachelor’s degree & 10 years of clinical execution experience or equivalent OR
+ In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocationofresources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 10+yearswork experience in life sciences industry, particularly focusing on clinical trial work, including 8+ years of biopharmaceutical clinical research experience obtained at a biotech or pharmaceutical company
+ Experience managing multiple teams / direct reports across multiple geographies
+ Experience at or oversight of outside clinical research vendors (CRO’s, central labs, imaging vendors, etc.)

**The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $206,344 – $238,674.**
