The Field Applications Specialist for Flow Cytometry is responsible for providing instrument training, product demonstration and working with Brazil (as well as all LATAM) team in attaining sales targets for the region, that drive significant impact to the organization.

This position reports to the Flow Application Manager LATAM and is part of the Application Team based in Brazil and will be working to cover all Brazil territory.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Providing high quality of Technical and Scientific support to accounts in Brazil with a focus on sales targets for Life Science Flow Cytometry hardware and consumables. The role supports sales and customers in both a pre- and post-sales context

+ Providing high quality of pre-sales support, including instrument and software demonstrations, workflow studies, proactive protocol development and support scientific meetings as well as flow cytometry application implementation

+ Delivering customer satisfaction through Applications development and troubleshooting for Beckman Coulter Flow Cytometry systems.

+ Providing technical support via phone or email to internal OpCo functions (engineers, technicians, and product support personnel) by diagnosing, troubleshooting and solving technical problems. Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.

+ Providing applications support Flow Cytometry instruments and reagents portfolio with responsibilities in Brazil as well as rest of LATAM (up to 20% of time) direct and indirect market (Channel Partners).

The essential requirements of the job include

+ Must have significant Hands-on experience with Flow Cytometry

+ A background in Hematology and Clinical Flow Cytometry is highly desirable.

+ University degree in biomedicine, biological sciences, pharmacist, biotechnology or a related subject.

+ Communicating effectively and managing relationships with all stakeholders, including key opinion leaders.

+ Fluent in English

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

+ Ability to travel 50% – 80% of time. 10-20% outside Brazil

+ Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

+ Must be based in Brazil

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Knowledge of immunology and experience in academic will be beneficial as well as about Extracellular vesicles and/or spectral cytometry

+ Practical experience with Flow analysis Software for high dimensional data (like tSNE, CITRUS, FlowSOM, Parade and other) is desirable.

+ Previous experience of technical or applications support within a diagnostic or life science company is beneficial

+ If speak Spanish will be beneficial
