The Field Service Supervisor for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for the daily management of the field technical staff. The Field Service Supervisor will have formal supervisory responsibilities for a defined team of Field Service Engineers and may be requested to support the district with limited service calls and preventative maintenance (PMs). The supervisor models outstanding customer service through strong communication and collaboration skills both internally and with our customers. Core duties include building a technically strong and cohesive team while maintaining a strong partnership with sales to retain base business. Effectively ensuring the day-to-day operations of the field service team performs with accuracy and completeness in repairs, calibrations, instrument qualifications, and shipping & receiving.
This position is part of the Field Technical Service team located in Houston, Texas, and will be fully remote within the service territory. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the North America, West Service team and report to the Sr. Service Manager, responsible for meeting and exceeding customers’ expectations while supporting sales and service growth. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Lead weekly team calls to review customer issues, KPIs, and general team announcements.
+ Lead by example and work to build the best team via employee development and by recruiting the best internal and external candidates
+ Partner with assigned team and coordination center to define the best strategies to support our customers
+ Drive a sense of urgency to ensure customer needs are addressed promptly with an emphasis on “first-time fix”, driving compliance and leveraging DBS to map organizational improvements.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ High School Diploma with 8+ years’ experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, and/or electronic equipment
+ Or Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience Or Master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Ability to travel – Domestic/International travel by vehicle or airplane, with up to 25- 50% overnight travel may be required and exposure to seasonal weather based on geographic region
+ Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
+ Ability and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs. along with ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at the waist
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Previous Beckman Coulter Field Service Engineer experience
+ Supervisory management experience
+ Troubleshooting and repair experience on medical laboratory instruments

The annual salary range range for this role is $90,000-$120,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
