We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer II for our manufacturing software systems. This is a role focused on designing the software tools and infrastructure that are essential for producing our complex molecular diagnostic devices at scale.

You will be responsible for designing and developing manufacturing software—from test automation frameworks and calibration routines to designing the databases that store critical production data. You will be the key technical bridge between R&D and Operations, translating complex product designs into robust, validated software solutions for the factory floor and field service teams.

This position is part of the Software/ Firmware Engineering team located in Bengaluru, IDC, India and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing testing and calibration software applications using C# and C++ with adherence to defined software development lifecycles, version control systems, and source control processes

+ Diagnose and resolve manufacturing software and firmware test failures at contract manufacturing sites, including root cause analysis, debugging across MFG SW and FW layers, and driving measurable improvements in module build yield at CM

+ Contribute to architecture design and implementation for next‑generation manufacturing software, including multi‑platform UI development, cloud server integration, multi‑layer back‑end logic development, data analysis, data acquisition, hardware interfacing and control, and GUI development

+ Execute verification and validation activities for manufacturing software in collaboration with engineering, system verification, and SQA teams, including test method development and defect resolution workflows

+ Support manufacturing operations by developing scalable software solutions, ensuring compatibility with hardware systems, and maintaining performance and reliability metrics across production environments

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of professional experience (3+ years for MS and 5+ for BS) in software development, with a significant focus on manufacturing test, hardware-in-the-loop simulation, or test automation.

+ Deep knowledge of in an object-oriented language such as C#/C++, Java, Python.

+ Experience with UI/WPF layout tools is a plus. strong development experience in TCP/IP, CAN, UDP and other network interfaces.

+ Proven experience designing software that interfaces with and controls physical hardware and test equipment.

+ Experience with SQL, XML, OOP/OOD

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Direct experience developing software under a diagnostic/ medical device quality management system (ISO 13485).

+ Familiarity with the requirements for software validation in an FDA-regulated environment.

+ Knowledge cloud program development is a plus.
