**Manager, Information Systems**

**Role Description**

The Manager, Information Systems will lead the Manufacturing Excellence product team responsible for delivering technology capabilities that improve business outcomes. This role will develop and lead a high-performing team, oversee technology delivery and operations, and ensure alignment with business strategy, enterprise standards, security, quality, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience in technology-driven manufacturing or regulated environments, combined with knowledge of software delivery, product management, organizational transformation, and global team leadership.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

+ Lead and develop a diverse technology team within a global, matrixed organization.

+ Build a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

+ Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop talent while promoting inclusive and effective ways of working.

+ Maintain strong relationships with business and technology leaders and communicate service roadmaps, delivery status, risks, and priorities.

+ Understand business processes, manufacturing workflows, and information needs and translate them into technology capabilities and measurable outcomes.

+ Develop and execute technology, product, and workforce plans aligned with organizational strategy.

+ Oversee the software-development lifecycle, including planning, design, delivery, deployment, operations, and support.

+ Work with product owners, service owners, architects, delivery teams, and vendors to ensure commitments are met.

+ Manage scope, schedules, risks, dependencies, resources, and escalations across technology initiatives.

+ Promote Agile, DevOps, automation, cloud, data, analytics, and AI capabilities where they provide business value.

+ Ensure technology solutions comply with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, quality, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

+ Define and monitor performance metrics for delivery, reliability, service quality, adoption, and business outcomes.

+ Manage operating and product-team budgets, forecasts, vendor costs, and resource plans.

+ Participate in leadership, governance, and stakeholder meetings and facilitate cross-functional alignment.

+ Support change management and adoption of new technology products, processes, and ways of working.

+ Remain accountable for overall organizational compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.

**Basic Qualifications**

+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 8–12 years of experience in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

**Must-Have Skills**

+ Demonstrated experience leading technology initiatives, products, services, and teams.

+ Experience managing, coaching, and developing employees and matrixed teams.

+ Strong experience partnering with business leaders, product owners, and senior stakeholders.

+ Experience defining technology roadmaps, operating models, and delivery plans.

+ Strong understanding of software development, product management, Agile delivery, DevOps, and production operations.

+ Experience managing scope, budgets, risks, vendors, resources, and executive escalations.

+ Experience with technology governance, cybersecurity, quality, compliance, and risk management.

+ Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, life sciences, or another regulated industry.

+ Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, decision-making, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

+ Experience applying methodologies such as Agile, SAFe, Kanban, ITIL, or comparable frameworks.

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with global and virtual teams.

**Good-to-Have Skills**

+ Leadership experience within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or technology organization.

+ Experience leading software, cloud, data, analytics, automation, or AI-enabled product teams.

+ Broad knowledge of enterprise applications, architecture, infrastructure, data, integration, cybersecurity, and cloud platforms.

+ Experience managing strategic vendors, consulting firms, or managed-service providers.

+ Understanding of manufacturing systems, enterprise data platforms, and regulated computerized systems.

+ Experience with organizational transformation, change management, and product operating models.

**Preferred Certifications**

+ ITIL certification — preferred.

+ Agile or Scaled Agile Framework certification — preferred.

+ Product, project, program, cloud, or change-management certification — preferred.
