The Master Data Manager is responsible for managing the global master data processes in SAP and ensuring the value of master data is maintained by enforcing Policy and Procedures; manages & directs the Master Data teams; ensures accuracy, completeness, timeliness & management of master data collection; and complies with business standards and procedures, as adopted by the company as well as continuously improving data standards, repositories and processes that include original input, change functions, auditing and cleaning.
This position reports to the Business Process Enablement Leader, Global Master Data Maintenance (MDM) Manager and is part of the Master Data Team located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Manage, coach and mentor the Global Master Data team.
+ Deploy master data management strategy globally.
+ Design, develop, implement and manage standard work/templates/training instructions to ensure global consistency.
+ Generate detailed extraction, cleansing and reporting designs necessary to satisfy requirements including KPIs for data accuracy, speed and accountability to drive continuous improvement globally.
+ Work with the other various business functions to take responsibility for maintaining master data, which is within that individual’s span of control and in alignment with overall Master Data standards and guidelines.
+ Identify and correct potential situations that may impede the successful maintenance of the service level agreement for the processing of data, to address the business needs of the organization
+ Arrange and lead any Kaizens or events necessary to further improve the Master Data processes.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Minimum 2 years Supervisory/Team leadership experience in managing, coaching and mentoring individuals in a deadline driven environment
+ Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
+ Experience in manufacturing environment, including materials, bills of material, routings/standards and ERP/MRP systems (SAP/MDG)
+ Experience coordinating cross-functional projects/assignments
+ Experience in facilitation and Kaizen execution
+ Proven ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment
+ Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Ability to travel –On occasion, (<10%) regionally and/or internationally.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Two+ years of experience in project management relating to technology & business preferred
+ Experience with SAP Materials Management/Supply Chain function is desired
+ Knowledge of SAP Application Components: SD, FI, MM, PP, Service Management, etc
