**Position Overview:**

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Material Handling Operator I to join our team in Washington, DC. The individual in the role will perform any assigned warehouse and office task as determined by daily requirements for the day-to-day material operation. We are seeking an organized individual with great attention to detail, and excellent communication and follow-up skills. You will ensure a safe working environment for self and others while on customer and Siemens properties. This is a 3RD shift position, 8:00pm – 4:30am M-F.

**What your day-to-day will look like:**

+ Perform Cycle counts using SAP and project specific inventory systems.

+ Assist with material identification/ validation for planned and unscheduled maintenance activities.

+ Create and process SAP Service orders.

+ Pack, process, and ship material using SAP and carrier specific web sites / requirements.

+ Issue material to customer using SAP and/ or Project specific inventory systems and instructions.

+ Physically and virtually receive, inspect, and stock inbound material.

+ Receive and process routable parts (cores) returned by customer in accordance with Siemens and Customer requirements.

+ Complete Siemens assigned, and customer required training.

+ Understand and Initiate Out of Service (OOS) and emergency notifications when material is needed to support customer needs.

+ Perform investigations when inventory inaccuracies are discovered.

+ Write and publish End of Shift (EOS) reports.

**To thrive in this role, you have:**

+ High School Diploma or GED,

+ Minimum of 1 year of material handling / warehousing experience,

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (focusing on Excel and Outlook),

+ Excellently demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in English,

+ Excellently demonstrated customer service skills,

+ The ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining an individual workload,

+ The ability to perform job duties with a sense of urgency and focused on safety.

+ Setting you apart from others would be having experience operating a forklift, material handling experience in the railway industry and experience with SAP.
