The QC Scientist role will support Cytiva’s new plant for manufacturing of chromatographic resins located in Muskegon, Michigan. This exciting role will be part of the start-up of Laboratory Operations on the site to support all parts of manufacturing with product release testing and troubleshooting related to Laboratory and Manufacturing in the field of Life Science.

You will be required to travel outside of US since our Muskegon site cooperates with our Uppsala site in Sweden. Your duties vary from routine analyses to instrument maintenance, method and instruction updates, and cross-functional meetings and collaborations.

What you’ll do:

+ Set up quality routines for the new QC Laboratory according to Quality Management Systems. Including installation and commissioning of new equipment.

+ Review and develop all types of analytical methods and SOPs to be used for the start-up of the operations.

+ Perform investigations and deviation management according to Quality Management Systems.

+ Build expertise for analytical activities in the Laboratory to gain enough knowledge to train peers.

+ Lead and coordinate activities on site during the receiving and start-up of the laboratory.

Who you are:

+ Bachelor, MBA or Advanced degree from an accredited University or College in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology or applicable.

+ Minimum 4 years working experience within a Laboratory, preferably Quality Control Laboratory.

+ Strong and accurate documentation skills.

+ Ability to lead initiatives to improve ways of working in a laboratory through effective communication with local and international team.

+ Effective problem identification and solving skills.

It would be a plus if you possess previous experience in:

+ Mass Spectrometry

+ Use of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
