The Scientist – Field Applications (m/w/d) is responsible for delivering impactful technical support and education to customers across the region, ensuring successful adoption and use of Archer’s NGS product lines. This role drives customer satisfaction and retention by providing expert training, troubleshooting, and pre-sales technical consultation in a field-based capacity.

This position reports to the Associate Director, Customer Success EMEA and is part of the Archer EMEA Customer Success team working remotely to cover the DACH region.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

+ Coordinate and conduct Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) library preparation trainings of the Archer product lines at customer sites.

+ Provide remote customer educations on library preparation and data analysis topics via video calls.

+ Investigate and answer post-sales customer inquiries and troubleshooting cases via email and phone calls.

+ Discuss and resolve challenging cases collaboratively with other members of the customer success team.

+ Assist the Sales team in pre-sales customer conversations, when technical expertise is required.

The essential requirements of the job include:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field.

+ At least 3 years of experience in the Life Science industry, or academic research environment, with hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge of NGS library preparations and sequencing.

+ At least 3 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues and resolving highly technical inquiries and support requests from customers or members of the scientific community.

+ Fluent in German and English (allowing for in-depth, technical conversations in both languages)

+ Candidate must live in Germany and be close to a major European travel hub.

Travel Requirements:

+ Ability to travel (up to 50-75%) within territory, with occasional international travel.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

+ Master’s degree or PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field.

+ Previous experience in a technical support or another customer facing role with demonstrated internal and external relationship-management skills in the genomics industry.

+ Experience working with CRM systems, Salesforce preferred.
