As an intern with the **Electrification and Automation (EA)** division of **Siemens Smart Infrastructure** , you’ll gain **hands-on experience** supporting power distribution systems that keep the world running today, while also being exposed to our Future Grids technologies that are shaping the power systems of tomorrow – all within a **collaborative, impact-driven environment.**

**We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Solutions Engineering Internship beginning in May or June 2026. This program is based in Wendell, NC.**

**You’ll make an impact by:**

+ Supporting solutions engineering activities by reviewing engineering drawings, preparing markups, and performing quality checks to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.

+ Assisting with the development and refinement of engineered solutions by collaborating with engineering and project teams.

+ Supporting documentation and review of technical deliverables that contribute to complete, customer-ready solutions.

+ Gaining exposure to how technical designs translate into integrated solutions that meet customer, quality, and project objectives.

+ Working closely with mentors and cross-functional teams to understand the full solutions lifecycle, from design review through implementation support.

**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Rising junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Candidates must not graduate prior to September 2026.

+ Fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering concepts and principles.

+ Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week summer internship.

+ Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.

+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience reviewing or working with electrical drawings or schematics.

+ Familiarity with engineering documentation, markups, or quality review processes.

+ Exposure to electrical design or drafting tools.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Attention to detail and willingness to learn engineering standards.
