Description

As a Data Visualization Business Systems Analyst, you will bridge business analysis and data visualization platform development, translating business requirements into actionable insights and interactive dashboards. Operating within a DevOps and Agile environment, you will create user stories, design test cases, build data models, and develop proof-of-concept solutions for scalable, high-quality analytics. You will collaborate with product teams, developers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient processes and impactful deliverables.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Collaborate with Product Teams, System Architects, and Business Owners to understand business strategy, needs, and pain points.

+ Capture the voice of the customer to define business processes and product needs, focusing on data visualization requirements.

+ Convert Epics into Features and granular User Stories with clear Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done.

+ Translate user stories into functional data visualization model designs, ensuring alignment with best practices and architectural standards.

+ Develop and maintain data visualization modules, dashboards, and integrations using platforms such as Tableau, Power BI.

+ Create and validate proof-of-concepts (POCs) to test assumptions, validate solutions, or propose new features.

+ Maintain up-to-date documentation of model architecture, business logic, data integrations, and process configurations.

+ Produce end-user guides, functional specs, and technical documentation to support user enablement and change management.

+ Conduct impactful demos of visualization features internally to Product Teams and stakeholders.

+ Identify opportunities to improve existing models, dashboards, and processes.

+ Stay current with platform releases, features, and community best practices; proactively recommend enhancements

+ Support the scaling of visualization solutions across business units through templated solutions and reusable components.

+ Perform manual and automated testing of software applications, including functional, regression, and performance testing.

+ Document and report defects and issues identified during testing, and work with development teams to resolve them.

+ Validate that test scenarios meet feature acceptance criteria and customer expectations.

+ Work closely with UX to align technical requirements, scenarios, and business process maps with user experience designs.

+ Ensure non-functional requirements are included and prioritized in the product and release backlogs

**Qualifications**

+ Doctorate, Master’s with 6 – 11 years OR Bachelor’s degree with 8 – 13 years experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

+ 6+ years of experience with planning or analytics software systems (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Anaplan, Hyperion, Salesforce, Jira, JiraAlign)

+ Programming experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, R) for scripting, data transformation, or integration.

+ Experience with writing user requirements and acceptance criteria in agile project management systems such as JIRA.

+ Understanding of software systems development cycles and data visualization best practices and UX best practices and standards.

+ Experience in managing product features for PI planning and developing product roadmaps and user journeys.

+ Familiarity with low-code/no-code test automation software (preferred).

+ Professional certifications in relevant platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Anaplan Certified Solution Architect) are preferred.
