The Senior Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a new site in Sunnyvale, CA.
This position is an on-site role located in Sunnyvale, CA and will report to the Director of Emerging Technologies.
Key Responsibilities of this role include:
+ Manage day‑to‑day operations at the IDT Sunnyvale, CA site to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable site performance.
+ Build, lead, and develop teams to establish and sustain standard work across manufacturing lab operations, including safety, QC, equipment maintenance, shipping/receiving, and facilities.
+ Define, track, and act on operational KPIs using DBS and lean tools to drive daily execution, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
+ Lead people performance through strategic vision, goal setting, engagement, training, talent development, and consistent feedback aligned with company policies and objectives.
+ Own site‑level project management, including equipment deployment, lab readiness, capacity expansion, and delivery of key operational milestones.
+ Support technology scale‑up by identifying operational risks and constraints and developing effective mitigation plans.
+ Manage site budgets and operational spend while coordinating with cross‑site and cross‑functional stakeholders to align priorities, schedules, resources, and global harmonization efforts.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or a related technical field, with 5+ years of experience leading teams in operational, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
+ 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, process support, or technology scale‑up environments; IDT or oligo manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Strong project management capabilities, including managing multiple concurrent workstreams and competing site priorities.
+ Experience implementing new automation and instrumentation within a laboratory or manufacturing setting.
+ Familiarity with the implementation and sustainment of ISO 9001 quality standards.
+ Strong communication and coordination skills across technical, operational, and cross‑functional teams.
+ Proven ability to operate effectively in early‑stage, evolving environments with changing priorities.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Ability to travel up to 20% of the time as needed.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Demonstrated experience partnering with R&D or technical development teams to support technology transfer or operational readiness.
+ Supporting new site or operations launches in a growth or pilot environment.

The salary range for this role is 155,000-185,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
