The Pathology Solutions (PS) Account Manager is responsible for driving business growth within complex total solution opportunities within clinical markets. You will develop close strategic relationships with a network of contacts to drive new business, research new opportunities and oversee growth projects.
This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager, and is a part of the South UKI sales team, ideally based with good transport connections to London, but residing anywhere on territory will be considered, and will be fully remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Lead and support the business development and strategic growth of LBS managed service contracts within UKI.
+ develop and manage large complex total solution opportunities, and be key to winning end-to-end solution tenders, securing long-term strategic business and supporting after sales customer satisfaction.
+ Support the sales cycle of UKI MSC customers from presales activities, tender processes and business development of renewing/extension agreements.
+ Develop a successful strategy to map and align with the consolidation of networks and laboratories across the region.
+ Engage with and influence senior leaders and C-suite to promote a successful business outcome for LBS.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Detailed knowledge and understanding of NHS Pathology Networks in England, Scotland, Wales & Ireland, having previously held Account Management/ Sales roles within this industry.
+ A comprehensive sales skillset which will include excellent relationship building with stakeholders at all levels of organisations. You will understand and be agile at influencing decision-making processes across all stakeholders, with strong negotiation skills delivering high value, strategic contracts.
+ Proven success in working in cross matrix environments to drive sales by mentoring, sharing account knowledge and leading new projects alongside Sales, Applications, Service and Customer Care teams.
+ Thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the challenge of high revenue long term strategic sales.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Ability to travel up to 50%, with frequent overnight stays within territory and wider UKI region.
+ Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
It would be a plus if you have previous experience in:
+ Cellular Pathology laboratory
+ Managed Service Contracts
+ Formal sales methodologies (Bluesheet, Value Selling)
