**What you will do**

In this vital role, the Executive Director, Global In-Line Brands & Global Commercial Execution will provide enterprise-level commercial leadership for a cross-therapeutic portfolio of mature, in-line assets, ensuring sustained value creation through disciplined global strategy, strong market pull-through, and continuous improvement of Amgen’s global-with-local operating model.This role is accountable for maximizing the lifecycle value of assigned brands, shaping global brand strategy in partnership with markets, and ensuring executional excellence, consistency, and focus across regions.

**Primary Responsibilities:**
**Portfolio & Brand Leadership**
+ Provides commercial leadership across a portfolio of global in-line brands (e.g., Otezla, Prolia, Kyprolis, Nplate, Xgeva, Vectibix) through the full lifecycle
+ Maximizes asset value by guiding brand strategy, prioritization, and investment decisions, including any remaining Patient Impact Expansion (PIE) opportunities
+ Ensures clear global brand positioning and strategic coherence across therapeutic areas and markets
**Global-With-Local Operating Model**
+ Oversees and optimizes the global-with-local commercial execution model, ensuring strong connectivity between global strategy and local execution
+ Partners closely with key markets to co-create brand strategies, balancing global consistency with local market needs
+ Drives focus on the highest-value opportunities and ensure resources are deployed against clear commercial priorities
**Commercial Execution & Cross-Functional Leadership**
+ Leads and influences cross-functional partners across Global Commercial Operations, regions, and therapeutic areas to deliver aligned commercial plans
+ Serves as a key commercial voice in global governance forums, ensuring timely, high-quality commercial input to decision-making
+ Champions best practices, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution across global commercial activities
**People & Team Leadership**
+ Leads and develops a high-impact global team, including:
+ In-Line Global Marketing Directors, accountable for global brand strategy and planning
+ Global Commercial Execution Leads (GCELs) aligned by therapeutic area, accountable for market pull-through and executional excellence
+ Sets clear expectations, fosters collaboration, and builds strong succession and capability pipelines
**Enterprise Influence**
+ Partners with Global Marketing Therapeutic Area VPs to continuously evolve ways of working and strengthen global-local collaboration
+ Builds strong relationships across functions and geographies, influencing without authority in a complex matrix environment
+ Acts as a role model for Amgen leadership behaviors and values
**What we expect of you**

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Doctorate degree and 6 years of global commercial or marketing experience OR
+ Master’s degree and 10 years of global commercial or marketing experience OR
+ Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of global commercial or marketing experience AND
+ 6+ years of managerial experience leading people, teams, programs, or enterprise initiatives
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience leading global commercial or marketing teams in the biopharmaceutical industry
+ Success managing mature, in-line brands and optimizing lifecycle value
+ Understanding of global-with-local operating models and executional governance
+ Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across regions and functions
+ Experience working across multiple therapeutic areas and competitive markets
+ Brings business judgment, prioritization skills, and executive presence
+ MBA or equivalent advanced business training preferred
