**Regional Sales Director, Respiratory West Region**
**What you will do:**
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, the Regional Sales Director will have primary responsibility for regional sales performance and execution across the West region for Tezspire. This leader will drive results through a team of 6 District Sales Managers and field representatives, setting the strategic vision for the region, coaching and developing talent, and ensuring strong execution within a complex alliance model.
The Regional Sales Director will operate as a senior field leader within the Amgen and AstraZeneca partnership, ensuring alignment to brand strategy, consistent execution across co-promoted field teams, and adherence to the highest standards of compliance and business conduct.
Specific requirements of the role include:
+ Setting regional strategic direction by translating national brand strategy into clear priorities, executional focus, and performance expectations across the West region.
+ Leading, coaching, and developing a team of District Sales Managers to deliver sustained performance, build strong talent pipelines, and maintain a culture of high accountability and engagement.
+ Driving strong field execution across personal promotion, key account engagement, and cross functional collaboration in partnership with AstraZeneca field leadership, while ensuring effective resource utilization, budget stewardship, and compliant sample management across the region.
+ Partnering closely with marketing, key account management, access, medical, and analytics teams to ensure coordinated execution and effective removal of barriers to success.
+ Serving as a key interface between the field organization and senior sales and marketing leadership, providing insights from the field to inform strategy and future planning.
+ Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, health systems, and opinion leaders across the region, with regular travel to customer sites including offices, clinics, and hospitals.
+ Ensuring all regional activities are conducted in full compliance with Amgen policies, regulatory requirements, and business conduct standards.
+ Managing performance through ongoing coaching, formal performance reviews, talent assessments, succession planning, and corrective action when necessary.
+ Communicating business issues, opportunities, and competitive dynamics to senior leadership on an ongoing basis.
+ Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers in person and virtually. Travel to locations such as doctor’s offices, clinics and hospitals is required.

**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Doctorate degree & 4 years Sales/Marketing experience
OR
+ Master’s degree & 8 years of Sales/Marketing years
OR
+ Bachelor’s degree & 10 years of Sales/Marketing experience
AND
+ **4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources.**
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Extensive pharmaceutical or biotechnology sales experience, including significant field sales leadership experience.
+ Respiratory experience strongly preferred. Experience with specialty or biologic products across medical and pharmacy benefits is a plus.
+ Demonstrated success leading teams within complex, matrixed, or co-promotion environments.
+ Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate brand strategy into disciplined field execution.
+ Proven ability to coach, develop, and retain high performing sales leaders and teams.
+ Experience partnering cross functionally with marketing, key account management, access, and medical teams.
+ Strong communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organization.
+ Adaptability and strength across core sales leadership competencies including strategic thinking, coaching and developing others, leading through change, establishing high standards, communicating with impact, and motivating teams.
+ Advanced degree preferred.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
