MITRE’s Air and Space Forces Center is seeking an Integration Lead to work directly with the Air and Space Forces Vice President and collaborate across the MITRE National Security Sector. This role will help translate center strategy into coordinated execution by aligning objectives, leadership forums, communications, stakeholder engagement, and implementation activities across the Air and Space Forces Center.
The Integration Lead operates in a dynamic, fast-paced FFRDC environment and serves as a trusted partner to senior leadership. The position requires strategic judgment, strong execution discipline, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across organizational boundaries to drive outcomes in support of national security missions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Integration Lead serves as an execution partner for the Air and Space Forces Center leadership team. The role is responsible for ensuring that center priorities are clearly defined, actively managed, effectively communicated, and consistently advanced across technical, operational, and stakeholder-facing activities.
This individual will help establish and maintain the leadership operating rhythm, ensure timely follow-through on priorities and decisions, and provide recurring assessments of progress against annual objectives. The role requires close collaboration with center operations, managing directors, chief engineers, project leaders, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of Air and Space Forces Center initiatives.
+ Partner with the Air and Space Forces Vice President and senior leadership team to define, integrate, and execute annual center objectives, including recurring assessment of progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
+ Develop, implement, and refine the center’s leadership battle rhythm to ensure senior leaders are engaging on the right topics at the right times, including staff meetings, on-sites, priority program reviews, strategy sessions, and execution forums.
+ Serve as a key communication conduit across the Air and Space Forces Center, MITRE National Security Sector, corporate stakeholders, and other internal partners to ensure consistent messaging and shared situational awareness.
+ Coordinate across managing directors, chief engineers, operations leaders, technical teams, and enabling functions to align activities with center strategy, sponsor needs, institutional priorities, and FFRDC operating principles.
+ Provide leadership, integration, and management support across a broad scope of center activities, helping drive clarity, accountability, and timely action on high-priority initiatives.
+ Engage internal and external stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, anticipate emerging issues, and support successful execution of Air and Space Forces Center objectives.
+ Identify and improve processes, forums, and information flows that increase organizational effectiveness, decision quality, and execution discipline across the center.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
+ Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance .
+ U.S. Citizenship required
+ Technical background in one or more of the following areas: systems engineering, software engineering, communications or networking, command and control, battle management, modeling, simulation, or analysis.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise materials for senior leadership and stakeholder audiences.
+ Strong technical knowledge and technical writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical, operational, and strategic information in support of leadership decision-making.
+ Demonstrated ability to operate as a self-starter with strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to work on-site in Bedford, MA, and travel up to 25%.
+ This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
+ Demonstrated ability to establish trusted relationships with senior leaders, technical teams, operations staff, and stakeholders in a complex mission environment.
+ Experience supporting strategy execution, governance, portfolio integration, business rhythm management, or chief-of-staff functions for a senior leader or large technical organization.
+ Demonstrated ability to identify, design, and execute process improvements that increase efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment across large organizations.
+ Familiarity with FFRDC operating principles, federally sponsored research environments, national security missions, or Air and Space Forces-related mission areas.

Salary compensation range and midpoint:
$162,400 – $203,000 – $243,600 Annual
