**Engagement Manager** **-** **Process** **Vertical Markets**
Here at Siemens, we take pride in enabling sustainable progress through technology. We do this through empowering customers by combining the real and digital worlds. We do this through empowering customers by combining the real and digital worlds, thereby improving how we live, work, and move today and for the next generation! We know that the only way a business thrives is if our people are thriving. That’s why we always put our people first. Our global, diverse team would be happy to support you and challenge you to grow in new ways. Who knows where our shared journey will take you?
**Transform the everyday with us!**
Some accounts don’t just buy automation — **they shape industries.** When these customers move, the market moves. We’re hiring an **Engagement Manager (EM)** to be the _CTO_ on a small portfolio of these strategic, industry-defining accounts — the person who turns strategic intent into measurable customer outcomes. The process industries of Chemicals, Glass, Energy, Life Sciences and Consumer Packaged Goods, will be the focus.
This role is a lead without direct reports. You will have something more powerful: **influence across every function that touches your accounts** — sales, product, engineering, services, marketing, and the C-suite on both sides of the table.
Siemens Digital Industries is building the next generation of how we engage our most strategic customers — and the EM is the **keystone role** in that model. You will not be one of fifty. You will be one of a small, hand-picked group whose work becomes the template the rest of the organization scales from.
If you’ve been waiting for a role where **strategy, technology, customer impact, and pipeline creation all live in the same job** — and where leadership is measured by _influence and outcomes_ rather than headcount — **this is it.**
**This position is remote with the flexibility to reside anywhere within the Continental United States.**
**You’ll make an impact by:**
+ You **architect the automation vision** and map the customer from where they are to where they want to be, with the lifecycle program to get them there.
+ Own the **multi-year outcome roadmap** for a small set of strategic accounts — from C-suite ambition (operational performance, modernization ROI, time-to-value, sustainability targets) to the technical execution that makes it real.
+ Be the **trusted advisor** the customer calls _before_ they call procurement — the person who shapes the problem statement, not just the proposal.
+ Convert customer wins into **customer advocacy** — joint presentations, reference stories, executive endorsements. If your customer isn’t on stage with us at the next industry event, we missed.
+ Protect **scope integrity** end-to-end. No surprise scope creep. No “we’ll figure it out in execution.” You are the integrity check between what was sold and what gets delivered.
+ Compress **order closure speed** on your accounts — you are the roadblock breaker, the escalation path, the deal architect.
+ Build **next-wave pipeline** from inside the install base, and the champion for new large labels — every closed deal is a launchpad for the next three. Cross-portfolio thinking is the default, not the upsell.
+ **Orchestrate cross-functional account teams** — sellers, application engineers, product specialists, service leads, and partners — toward one coherent engagement.
+ **Drive executive alignment** on both sides — internal leadership and customer C-suite — through clarity, candor, and credibility.
+ **Be the standard-bearer** for engagement quality. When the team isn’t sure what “good” looks like on a strategic account, they look at how _you_ run yours.
+ **Coach by example.** No org chart authority required — your influence comes from being the most prepared, most strategic, and most outcome-focused person in the room.
**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ 10+ years in industrial automation, process industries, or enterprise B2B technology sales/strategy — with **demonstrated ownership of large strategic accounts.**
+ Deep familiarity with **automation platforms, modernization economics, and the broader industrial technology landscape** — _or_ the proven aptitude and curiosity to get there fast.
+ A track record of **closed wins** that you architected, not just supported.
+ The ability to translate **technical complexity → executive clarity** and back again.
+ A bias for action, a tolerance for ambiguity, and a low tolerance for theater.
+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
+ Travel requirements 30%-35%.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ End Userbusiness model understanding and platform strategy experience.
+ Digital Thread execution or lifecycle integration experience.
+ Background in industrial automation, PLM, MES/MOM, or industrial software.
+ Experience with readiness gating or maturity models.
+ Strong executive communication and stakeholder alignment skills.
