BASIC PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:

This will include managing sales staff, participating in the establishment of the sales and financial goals for a given territory; designing and implementing sales plans to achieve established goals; and cooperating with marketing to obtain market data and monitor competitors’ activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will also be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:

+ Establishes goals to meet objectives

+ Establishes sales standards, procedures, performance levels and documentation requirements for a given territory

+ Provides guidance to sales staff to achieve goals in accordance with established policies

+ Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules

+ Responsible for hiring/dismissing/disciplinary decisions affecting employees

+ Ensures staff skills are developed and maintained on a continual basis to ensure cost/effective operations

+ Manages relationships with vendors, consultants, contractors, and professional associations to keep informed with existing and evolving industry standards and technologies

+ Develops departmental tactical planning processes

+ Communicates sales territory status, issues to high level management, and staff.

+ Adheres to policies and procedures

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:

+ External contacts for this position include dealers, customers, and the government.

+ Internal contacts include all sales department staff members as well as other related department staff in other offices of the company to gain information or to resolve problems.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND GIVEN:

The incumbent of this position is responsible for his/her own work. Only new work is reviewed before issue, all other work is handled independently, reporting status to managers/supervisor. Some work requires analysis and use of initiative and independent judgment, but most assignments are specific and well defined.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & SKILLS:

+ A university graduate with a major in medical laboratory technology, business and science

+ Good command in computer application with Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel is a must

+ Good command in English(read, write and speak)

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

+ A minimum of six-year working experience in medical field with strong sales track record

+ A minimum of two-year experience on supervisory duty
