Forming part of the Biotechnology segment at Danaher, we bring together dedicated technical expertise and talent to develop the next generation of life-changing therapeutics.

The Automation Technologist for Cytiva is responsible for integrating and commissioning aseptic filling machines.

This position is part of the Integration Team located in Burnaby, BC and will be a hybrid position. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you’ll do

+ Commission machines through the full production cycle; supporting manufacturing technicians through the build phase, system integration, Pre-FAT, FAT and Pre-Shipping at our facility in Vancouver

+ Troubleshooting Electrical, Mechanical & Software issues on our products relying on previous team experience, established procedures, documentation, and vendor assistance

+ Participate in regular 5S workspace reviews to ensure that damaged or missing tools are resolved, provide feedback on work instruction updates for continuous improvement of production process, update work instructions as part of continuous improvement and participate in projects to improve production infrastructure (production test jigs, etc.)

Who you are

+ A post-secondary diploma or equivalent, specializing in electrical, mechanical or mechatronics

+ Understanding of robotics, PLCs, HMIs, Historian, industrial networking, or machine operation with hands-on experience is highly desired

+ Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Standard Work, Six Sigma is highly desired

The salary range for this role is 66K-80K per year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
