**Position: BIM Analyst / VDC Associate**
**About the Role:**
This role focuses on supporting Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes throughout project lifecycles. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining BIMs using Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, creating federated models, conducting clash detection, and ensuring compliance with BIM Execution Plans. The position also involves facilitating BIM coordination meetings, collaborating with various stakeholders, assisting with 4D scheduling and quantity takeoffs, and utilizing platforms like Autodesk Construction Cloud. Furthermore, the role supports the implementation of advanced construction technologies, develops VDC standards, provides team training, and manages comprehensive documentation and reporting.
**What you will do:**
• Assist in the development, maintenance, and coordination of Building Information Models (BIM) using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and related software.
• Support federated model creation by aggregating discipline-specific models (architectural, structural, MEP) for coordination review.
• Conduct clash detection analyses and document issues for resolution with project teams.
• Maintain model standards and ensure compliance with project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings, including preparation of agendas, documentation of clash reports, and tracking of issue resolution.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners to facilitate model-based coordination.
• Assist with 4D scheduling simulations to visualize construction sequencing and milestone planning.
• Support quantity takeoffs and model-based estimating efforts as required.
• Utilize Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or similar platforms for document management and collaboration.
• Support the implementation of construction technology tools including laser scanning, reality capture, and drone survey integration.
• Assist in the development of VDC standards, templates, and best practices documentation.
• Help train project team members on VDC tools and workflows as needed.
• Prepare VDC progress reports, coordination logs, and model issue trackers for distribution to project stakeholders.
• Document lessons learned and contributed to continuous improvement of VDC processes.
• Maintain organized file structures and version control for all BIM deliverables.
• Other duties as assigned.
**What you will need:**
• BIM or VDC coursework, certification, or concentration required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in VDC, BIM coordination, or construction project delivery.
• Internship or co-op experience in a construction, architecture, or engineering environment is a plus.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks required.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360, Bluebeam Revu, or similar platforms preferred.
• Familiarity with 3D/4D modeling concepts and construction scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• Experience with point cloud software (e.g., Recap, Leica Cyclone) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn emerging construction technologies and workflows.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
