We are currently seeking a Junior Data scientist who will be responsible for play a vital role in leveraging data to enhance our supply chain processes, improve efficiency, and drive cost savings.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
+ Pipeline development and data integration: build, sustain and optimize robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and pipelines from various sources to lay the foundations of all analytics within the team.
+ Architecture and Master Data Management: design and implement architectures that support storage, retrieval and analysis of large datasets while maintaining a gold standard of data quality in the data warehouse.
+ Collaboration: collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, embedded and software engineers, to understand data requirements and provide data solutions.
+ Performance optimization: continuously improve the performance and scalability of data systems, including query optimization and infrastructure enhancements.
+ Data governance: implement policies and standards to ensure data security, privacy and compliance with regulatory requirements and audits in the Life Science field.
The required qualifications for the job include:
+ Bachelor’s with 7 years of experience or Master’s with 5 years of experience in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
+ Strong proficiency in data warehousing and ETL tools (Informatica, SQL, NoSQL, Apache Spark, Hadoop…)
+ Proficiency in programming languages Python, Java, Scala
+ Proven experience with cloud platforms and data technologies (AWS, Azure/Fabric, GCP, Big Query, Redshift, Snowflake…)
+ Expertise in database management systems and data quality assessment and maintenance (MDM…)
+ Must be objective and measurable, eg. education, years of experience per GCRF job leveling guidelines (do not cap years of experience), specific systems proficiency or industry experience. Do not include soft skills.>
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Experience in operations, supply chain, planning or commercial in Life Sciences, Diagnostic, BioPharma field or any highly regulated field.
+ Experience with real-time data processing and streaming platforms (Kafka…)
+ Knowledge of ML ops or data science
