In this vital role of the Director, Contracts & Pricing Strategy, Medical Biosimilars is a key member of the U.S. Value & Access (USV&A) organization and the Oncology Coverage & Pricing Leadership Team. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing both Payor and Provider contracting strategies in close collaboration with direct reports, USV&A leadership, and Brand leadership teams. This role is highly visible, with the Director accountable for setting, achieving, and maintaining payer coverage and Provider contract strategies within budget to ensure patient access to Amgen products and drive brand performance. The Director will guide qualitative and quantitative pricing/contracting analyses to support the payer contacting strategy and drive decision making. Additionally, the Director will oversee the quarterly Payor LEDR process and is responsible for working the C&P LEDR team, finance, and brand leadership to project the overall coverage and discount rates for forecasts, quarterly business reviews, and long-term planning.

+ Partner with brand leadership and execution decision makers to develop Provider contracting strategies in line with profitability guardrails across targeted products.

+ Steer executive decision makers on pricing and coverage decisions and develop resulting negotiation strategy for customer engagements in collaboration with Market Access team and USV&A leadership.

+ Facilitate alignment in Brand, Contracting, and LRS strategy development and implementation of the plan with cross-functional teams including Brand, CAPE, Market Access, Oncology Account Management, Patient Access, Medical, Trade, and Policy

+ Maintain and implement Pricing strategies with keen awareness of impact on Average Selling Price and brand profitability.

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Doctorate degree & 4 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience,

**Or**

+ Master’s degree & 7 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience,

**Or**

+ Bachelor’s degree & 9 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Experience with US pricing and payer access environment for Medical Benefit products

+ Experience developing strategies to optimize payer coverage and/ or Provider contract strategies within highly driven markets.

+ Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative pricing studies to formulate price policy and contracting strategy recommendations.

+ Experience conducting situation analysis of external pricing and reimbursement environment and synthesizing relevant information to develop strategic plans.

+ Develops and delivers concise, relevant, and well‐supported briefings and adapts presentation style with knowledge, credibility and maturity to influence senior management.

+ Strategic planning and/or experience in product commercialization

+ Direct payer experience and/or health policy experience desirable

+ Direct Commercial Oncology experience
