As an intern with the **Electrification and Automation (EA)** division of **Siemens Smart Infrastructure** , you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting power distribution systems that keep the world running today, while also being exposed to our Future Grids technologies that are shaping the power systems of tomorrow – all within a collaborative, impact-driven environment.

**We are seeking qualified candidates to join our Environmental Health & Safety Internship beginning in May or June 2027. This position will be based at our Raleigh, North Carolina office location.**

**You’ll make an impact by:**

+ Supporting improvements to job safety analyses (JSAs), risk assessments, emergency preparedness, and emergency response programs.

+ Performing floor walks and supporting the review and follow-up of incidents, near misses, and employee safety suggestions.

+ Supporting hazardous materials, hazardous waste, and universal waste management activities.

+ Conducting EHS onboarding training for new hires and supporting safety culture and employee engagement initiatives.

+ Supporting ISO management systems, 6S initiatives, EHS projects, and regulatory compliance activities.

**You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:**

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field and approaching completion of the required educational credentials for this opportunity.

+ Knowledge of safety or environmental regulations and compliance.

+ Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the 12-week summer internship.

+ Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as this role does not provide relocation support.

+ Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

+ This internship is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program who will continue their studies following the assignment. Current and continuing enrollment is a condition of participation. Applicants who have completed or expect to complete their educational program before or during the assignment period are encouraged to explore our Early Career Development Program opportunities.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Knowledge of risk assessment, process improvement, incident investigation, data analytics, training development, or cross-functional project management.

+ Experience related to safety or environmental programs, regulations, or compliance activities.

+ Willingness to learn and develop knowledge related to safety and environmental functions.
